Upload it to a site like photobucket, then copy and paste the link into the insert image box, the one beside the small planet earth

or just attach it by uploading from your computer, you have to click "go advanced" and scroll down to the manage attachments bit.

there is a thread asking exactly the same question in this section less than a month ago though so please do a bit of a search for things like this - the answer is not often hard to find.

It depends what you search on. I tried advanced search with terms "upload photos" and got nothing useful whatsoever.

slight thread revival... I've seen that some people have managed to post pictures between text in posts, but I can only seem to post photos as thumbnails. Would someone care to enlighten me please? :)

When you click on the insert picture icon you can either choose to upload from your computer or from a URL. When you select URL you are offered two further options; either 'retrieve remove file and reference locally' or link directly to a hosted image such as Photobucket (it's a tick box). If you keep the tickbox enabled then it will copy the pic and show as a thumbnail on here. But if you untick it then it will link directly to the picture at the URL you specify.
