Hello from New York; 1990 Corrado VR-T

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been lurking around for a few months and decided I should introduce myself. I noticed you don't have that many members from the U.S.....so I hope you don't mind me posting.

My name is Nick. I bought my 1990 G60 Corrado in March as a rolling shell. Decided to go a different route with the drivetrain.

OBD2 VR6 from a 1997 Passat with 94k mated to the g60 transaxle.

Fully shaved bay with full wire tuck and battery relocation.

Rain tray delete. All holes welded and I modified the Passat engine harness to only pass through the firewall in one location. Very clean.

Custom motor mounts to keep the g60 hood with the vr6 motor.

Super rare ETOILLE/GOTTI J55B 2pc splits (Porsche turbo 944 ONE YEAR '89) All brand new stainless hardware and custom paint matched centers.

16x7.5 et 15 in the front

16x9.5 et 5 in the rear

205 40 16 Falken zx512's

MMP short runner intake fully polished; (Momentum Performance)

MMP stainless steel fuel rail with 3.5fpr; (Momentum Performance)

ATP stainless steel heat shield for turbo manifold

OBD2 port

Kinetic t3/t4 .60 trim turbo with polished cold side.

Is it me or is your exhaust manifold really square?

looks like a great build.

That's just a heat shield. It has the standard ATP style cast manifold.

338 bhp 320 tq

I haven't taken it on the track yet, I need a few things done to meet the safety specifications.

Wow, nice clean work.

A few years ago i saw a corrado the same colour as mine on my first day in New York after only walking one block. Is there many left over there?

Not many around. In the upstate NY VW scene there are just a handful.
