How many miles....???

Recommended Posts

Hi to anyone out there, I am a newby who uses my unmodified N reg Storm as a drive for work and leisure. She will be turning 170k miles in the next few days and I wondered if there are many other storms with that sort of mileage on the clock?

Good question - I'll need to go back and look at the paperwork, but I think I've done about... 25-30K in it myself?

Daily storm here, just clicked over 138000, no sign of any smoke and at the last MOT the emissions where really low so I think the engine is good and healthy... fingers crossed.

Rog.

did you all have your chains changed? and at what time?

Mine's not a Storm but the previous owner had the chains done (with the improved mk4 tensioner) at a little over 135k I think it was (the car is now on about 143k or thereabouts).

It's just a wee 1.8 16v but it's done199350 of which I've added about 140000. On balance I think it was a pretty god buy.
