Tabbi 10 Posted April 4, 2016 Hi, I need a bonnet release cable for my Rado. Please PM me if you have one you want to part with. Thanks.
captainredeye 0 Posted April 5, 2016 I'm after one also, the only place I could find them was from the states and was looking at about $90 delivered. Any where that supplies these in the U.K. ?

g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted April 5, 2016 Any help, seems cheap: http://www.tdnparts.com/hood-release-cable/ Ian. it doesn't half Ian - $92 discount - odd those are the people that make the metal headlight adjusters, I would be keen to hear feedback if someone orders from them
Tabbi 10 Posted April 5, 2016 Just been offered a second hand one for £80 delivered. Included handle and clip. Sounds expensive to me does it not......?
Tabbi 10 Posted April 5, 2016 My cable has snapped but i am currently opening the bonnet my removing the grill and pulling two little handles at each end of the cable if that makes sense. Is there anyway i could modify this to work without buying a new cable?
p0l1wrath 10 Posted April 5, 2016 I modified mine by swapping the push pull cable for Bowden, and then modified the handle with the v brake parts from a push bike I had lying around, worked wonders, takes a lot of grief and hasn't moved a mm (I marked it with tippex!) Will try and get a picture later, but my memory is horrendous...
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted April 12, 2016 PM sent Tabbi, By the looks of things you just need the main cable without handle, clip and front cross over cable that joins both locks? Tomorrow morning ì'm checking a scrapped 'raddo so i'll check and see if the cable is still intact.

Brunty's Dad 10 Posted January 20, 2017 Tried a 'generic' but it has not been a success. Pulling a long cable tie attached between the release springs and sticking out through the VW badge, I tried ordering from tdn but they refused postage to my address. Not sure why.
