blue95 0 Posted May 1, 2019 Hi All, Looking to repair sections of my engine loom, can anyone recommend a decent tool/kit to help remove electrical connectors? don’t fancy breaking stuff then trying to replace connectors
fendervg 32 Posted May 2, 2019 You will need to purchase or borrow pin removal tools for junior power/timer contacts if you are changing the connectors or taking the loom apart. Something like these, but you should be able to get them for a lot cheaper: https://www.kufatec.com/en/search/index/sSearch/pin+removal
1xshaunx1 27 Posted May 3, 2019 Type in to eBay Connector removal tool. I got a three piece one from China for about £2.50 delivered and I’ve just done the connectors on the tailgate all plugs off undamaged and back on again, simples.
tonedef 9 Posted May 3, 2019 I googled it and found a guide to making one. It was a bit of a faff using the flat spring steel from a wiper blade and plenty of careful filing but it did do the job when I had to swap the plug from one of the lambda sensors on the TT.
