Nice job there. You’re clearly a dab hand with a grinder, oops I mean welder 😂 Paint blended in well 👍

Yeah it's been on the car for a year now. It could be a reaction between base coat and your lacquer possibly on yours?

Hmm, not sure. Maybe I didn't get a good enough mix of hardener. Seems an odd product though as there are plenty of reviews online that have had the same issues as me, and others which it's been fine for. On Amazon, it's got a rating of 2.7 stars. The reviews are either 1 or 5 star!

I do love a set of speedlines. Did you get them from Classics?

Yes mate. Dated 96/97 so they must have found a stash of them.

Thought I’d update this thread. Drivers side cleaned and found a bit of corrosion where the battery has rubbed. Sanded it down, rust treated and primed and painted. Happy with the results and can’t really be seen once re-assembled anyway

Chris your 'temporary' repair is an exceptional standard! As usual, of course

How the heck do you even manage to do that? Looks great

Carefully! Use 2000 grit sandpaper then 3000grit and finish with a machine polisher. Stay away from any panel edges too.
