I was wandering the other day when filling up (optimax of course) how many miles does a full tank get you?

 

I am on 205 miles with a quarter of a tank left! what does everyone else get out of the C on a full Tank??

I use to get on average 450 miles to a tank on my old 16v... the 1.8 is supposed to be the most economical Corrado there is....

 

I still get about 400 - 450 out of my VR6 (it does have a bigger tank though)

I think mine gets roughly 300 miles + on about 40 pounds of 95 RON

I get an average of about 35mpg but the MFA says 26mpg.

 

Just put in £35 and that was for 325miles.

For £40 I normally get 360-380miles. Still think it aint running right though.

350 miles, but my journeys are very short (2 miles to work), MPG usually ends up at about 25-27.

I'm getting around 320miles outta my G60 on my daily commute into manchester and back, slightly more on a long run... That's with about £50 going into the tank, so around 56 litres

 

1 litre = 0.21997 UK Gallon which means I'm getting around 26mpg sat in traffic on the way to work and back... 8) Not too bad for a 220BHP car! :D

How big is your tank? My vr would do maybe high 300's on long journeys from a tank but never that much!!! Blimey!!!

400 - 450 from a VR is about right mate. That's 26 to 30mpg.

 

VRs have 15 Gallon tanks, as do Late G60s and 2.0 16Vs.

Well, I have to confess I never fill it up, right up!! Its just too painful on the wallet. :cry: I suppose its within reach. Its been a while since I've had it in a long steady journey.

I have never run the tank empty, but really want to.

 

I worked out when the needle is through the red zone, and on the line I still have some left in the tank, atm I am playing lottery every time I have to fill up, just to see how low I can get it, most I have paid to fill up is 59 quid, and that was 345 miles on the clock.

Late G60 - only get between 270-350 miles out of a tank depending on the distances and types of driving.

 

Unfortunately my drives are 90% cold start and crawl through traffic for 15 minutes every day where the G60 is at its absolute worst.. only the occasional drive to a VW meet or something similar is where my fuel economy gets a chance to recover.

Not sure mate, haven't done the good old fashioned calculations for a while!

 

Probably not. A) she's running rich at the moment and B) I sit in traffic a lot, so probably about 350 these days.

 

I have seen 500 miles from a tank when coming back from my holiday in the Lake District. Seriously..... I just kept to 70-75mph all the way home and I calculated it did 500 miles from 66 litres. That's still only 34.4 mpg though......

thats brilliant, as I said above, I get 30-35 on a long journey, just my 2 mile cold trip to work ruins the figures

Mine's showing 336 miles at the minute and the needle's well into the red zone :( . Only gets short runs usually, when I took it up Scotland on holiday it was doing about 440 miles on a full tank.

this week run from coventry to stansted was getting 36mpg straight runs at 75-80mph

get about 27-30 around town
