    Pressure switch

I've got exacty the same problem on mine, decided to start doing it yesterday. Funny thing is, it only does it after like 2 minutes of driving. Then soon as I hit the motorway and boot it, it stops. I'm thinking it might be nice to replace ALL related sensors. From what I've read theres the one on the side of the head, and the one on the oil cooler. Any more? Thanks randal
  3. Yaaay! Looks like you are finally getting somewhere. See what you mean about the damage the fool did to the rear quarter - not cool :( Eh up though, light at the end of the tunnel. Out of interest, what are the prices like from there? ta randal
  4. Yaaaaay! Result! :D Nice one, beat the hell out of that loan car - you know everyone does the same

    ICE upgrade

Personally wouldn't bother with the OE wiring at all. Wires are too thin for a start. It's a bit of a job running new cables from the head unit to dash/doors - I ended up taking half the dash inserts, the centre console surround and god knows what else out just doing the fronts. Might be a bit fiddly running new wires through the door loom too - but it is possible, and well worth it for the end result. Best of luck with it all. Oh yeah, wire coat hangers and duct tape will see you through this one - very handy! HTH randal
  6. Daily? Sounds like you need to ramp up the campaign and get on the hourly motif! Sorry to hear it's taking so long to get it sorted, it must be bugging the crap outta you. All good things... as they say though. Hope it gets knocked on the head soon mate. ta-ta

    u like.

/full on robot chubby on :D
  8. Option 3! Just for the simple fact I wanna see/hear what a turbo'd 16V goes like! Plus it's a rado, which IMO is far more aestetically pleasing than a Beemer or a Honda Civic Type R (which isn't without it's charms mind). Good luck whatever you decide to do. :D
  9. One today - burgundy G60 on a J plate. Ended up following you from the M23 onto the A3 where ya got off at Burpham. Got a wave outta you. Of course you got the trademark cheesy grin :D
  10. G'day! Get yer car into the member's gallery. :D Then find something wrong with it so you can ask questions :D Then spend weekends, nights, "sick" days off work etc.. fixing them with your new found skills! ta-ta randal
  11. Trailed by a maroon/burgundy VR6 on an 'M' plate this morning on the M25 from the A3 junction to the M23. Any takers on here?
  12. Mmm, OK - maybe that method is a little "direct". Will keep an eye out, I'm quite often between Camberley, Bagshot, Lightwater - sure to bump into you sometime. (keep an eye out for the cardboard ad banner) :D
  13. Jo, Why don't you get a big piece of cardboard and write "CORRADO-FORUM.NET" on it, and attach it to the front of your car? OK, you'll look like a complete fool for a morning's drive to work - but you might get an answer. Or laughed off the road.... I'm not helping am I? Still haven't seen you driving around our way either. You a reclusive rado driver? Laters randal

    RCL probs

BTT anyone? After reading though posts on here looks like it could be a vacuum leak problem. Thanks for the advice yalan, but auto electrics are certainly not my forte! Might have a butchers at the pump at some point, see if that gives away any clues. ta randal
  15. Way I see it, it is on topic :D Besides, I think joebloggsVR69's question has been answered - so whats the harm?
  16. Gentlemen, don't thank me. Thank the gorgeous Lucy Pinder...
  17. I feel cheated. So very cheated. So I've decided to do this to allieviate the need for anyone else to feel the same  Enjoy :D
  18. Never heard of em, but just tried calling and they didn't answer. :?
  19. I'm not 100% sure what the engine code is, not too up on Golfs. Do know it's an F plate, running a G plate engine - which has recently been rebuilt. He's owned the car for about a week, has been performing nicely - until now. He said that he'd just been on an A road doing 70, stopped at the lights, put his foot on the gas to pull away and it died. Then said that he managed to start it again by pouring oil in the bores to do something to the compression ratio? I'm pretty sure thats what he said anyway. Sounds a bit suspect to me, please correct me if iI'm wrong though. Hope that sheds a bit more light on it all.
  20. Ok, don't flambe me for popping this on here - in fact, hell flambe me - I deserve it. :D Friend has a 8V Golf that won't run. It gets fuel to the engine, gets a spark, sounds like it's just about to kick over then nothing. He's adament it's the ECU, but from what I've heard about the valver C ECU's - they don't do a whole lot. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance randal
  21. So when do you get a chance to get creative? And who do you turn to when it goes horribly wrong?! (touch wood it NEVER has gone horribly wrong for ya!)
