Thought the general rule of thumb was head units and other manufacturer's changers don't play ball. A friend found this out the hard way smoking a kenwood changer + sony head unit on a home made cable. Ouch.

Few things have changed in the last couple of weeks. Got the Milltek cat back on there now, awesome sound - nothing overpowering just a subtle note. Like that! Errm, yesterday got creative and swaped out my front engine mount and the clutch slave cyl, blimey what a difference that makes! FInds every gear without hassle, and the pickup is a little happier now. Just want to get my ride height sorted, gonna be a few weeks before my springs materialise, which is a bummer :( Oh and got the later spec grille on there now, plus a new gear knob - yay for GPC!

agreed, that is a gorgeous C, can't get on with the rims though. Does anyone know what front bumper that is?
-
From what I understand, it won't give you much more in the power department - but will certaily help with engine running in hot temperatures. Especially useful in Portugal! I think Henny mentioned something about it yesterday. Moral of the story - "A Golf G60 intercooler is a god send, just be ready with the wallet!" HTH randal

I'd take it straight back to the garage mate and kick up one HELL of a fuss! How annoying is that?? Get the jerks to give you a full respray! Tell you this, getting cranky does work. My Mum had a little altercation with a van (her other half reversed into it the other day with the removal truck), so after 10 days in the garage (and a 1500 quid repair bill) the car came back with the Airbag warning light on, a flat rear tyre and no electric windows working! Other half goes mental, they replace the tyre with a new one, give Mum a free courtesy car and offer to fix everything free of charge AND drop the car back. Result!

Was going to say - I watched 16VG60 do mine in about 45 minutes - that included removing the old system. He just jacked the back WAY up, oxy-acetalined the old system off (nice and siezed), and fitted the Milltek on his own. Very quick job. I was just amazed at the weight difference between the old system and the Milltek. Only bummer was I had to go over the join between the SS and the OEM pipe again yesterday as the heat expansion (and the knackered front engine mount) had caused a gap to appear. Resealed it now, and I'm soooo chuffed. Long live DIY. :D

Superb, I'm off into Reading next weekend - I'll grab a metre or 3. Need to stop those cursed speaker bins too! Completely forgot about those. A Corrado owner's work is never done!
-
G-Lader - I'll take a look at the weekend, I'm half tempted to go around every panel on the interior with black felt and sort everything in one hit though. Cheers for the pointer :D

Maybe we should rename this thread to the "Corrado - To Do list" Clutch Slave Cyl Front engine mount Change brake fluid Replace wing and passenger door + respray Sort out annoying sqeak from glove box and rear nearside door card Replace rad (top mount corroded through) Replace oil (warmer) cooler inlet hose Replace rear bushes That'll do for starters - that doesn't include the other engine/exhaust work planned! Still, all that considered I love my Corrado - wouldn't trade it for the world - well maybe a Storm. :D

Lucky he did it that way, and not the other way around.... VERY nasty. (My poor ol' Grandad did that once, although was pretty funny watching him get mashed whilst huffing fumes) :)

Just spoke to C&R - they are going to send me the G60 VR6 front springs, and the rear just need moving up a notch. Yay for C&R! KARMANN - Although the 60mm is nice, I don't think it's for me - bit too close to the mark for my liking. Thanks for the pics all the same, certainly a help in the decider! Cheers again guys randal edit - YAARRR I don't know what I'm doing.....
-
60mm doesn't sound all bad, ok it'll be cosy - but not the end of the world. The annoying thing is, there's obviously no way of checking unless it's on the car :( Bummer. I'm guessing that C&R wouldn't take too kindly to having a kit returned that's already been installed... Poop.
-
Ah i'm sure it's fine. C&R sounded on the ball, and it's a kit they've had experience with. I'm sure somebody would have screamed by now!
-
Ah crap....

TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! TIT! Best of luck mate, it's a Corsa. A car owned by a majoirty of geriatrics, school run Mums, and beginner drivers (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with new drivers - well...), and chavved up Barry Boy Mc'd scum with nothing better to do than honk at tarted up 14 year olds in dresses too short to be in porno films. Rant over. :D

Sorry to hear about your glass friend :( Not cool. People suck sometimes eh?

I'm sure this has been said before, but I just want to reiterate. John of JMR (16VG60), impressed the hell out of me yesterday. Not only with his service, competance, knowledge and speed of work - but moreover with his hospitality, advice and honesty. If anyone needs any work done, I can vouch for him - top bloke, knows his stuff - VERY Impressed! Nice one John! :notworthy:
-
Well, after having "stage one" of my Milltek fitted last night - I can safely say a) It's a perfect fit for the bumper b) It looks awesome c) The note is lovely - even as it's only "cat back" Very impressed on the whole with the system, it finishes off the back end of the car nicely. Thanks John! (16VG60 )
