LOL That's what I like about this forum...well researched and analysed reasoning leading to a balanced, coherent conclusion....... :D :D To be fair, the BMW does have power going to the correct wheels and is probably the best balanced car in the sector. Shame that everyone's got one though... While I was looking for a decent Storm, my reserve option was forking out a lot more dosh for a 225 TT with the larger alloys. I think its a seminally designed car inside and out....

I think this is it: black tail lamps Professionally coated original tail lamps for the VOLKSWAGEN Corrado ( a pair). The tail lamps were lasered with a black special plastic. They look genuinely superb and are high gloss! All vehicle test characteristics on the tail lamps are still recognized and the reflectors gleam with beam of light through. Of course the lights are supplied with a TUV confirmation ! The coating is washproof , Weather-proof, scratch-proof, ie, They will last for a long time Give your car the final touch with these beautiful tail lamps. Let yourself be the envy of your friends ! Take your chance and bid on them now, because from experience I know, that similar tail lamps went for well over 80(!) euro on Ebay in the spring and in the summer The lights are at present being auctioned in the excellent condition, an absolute must for those people who want a sporty touch for their vehicle Consider also my other auctions. Bid on them now!

I finf the weak acid based formula in Autoglym's alloy wheel cleaner is very good if you spray on, leave for two mins (and no more for the sake of the lacquer) and just jet spray off

how did you know where to apply to...?(for future reference). Make sure ask Clarkson to do some more stuff on older cars especially the Corrado. A group test with todays hot hatches would be great
-
I think they went out of fashion for a while, but their quality of manufacture and the fact that they suit the car better than most is beginning to get through......

welcome - and nice looking car - I like the reg plate too!

Regarding the Mann filters, if you compare the quality of the construction with the OE VW filter, the Mann filter appears of a much higher quality

TBH, the cost of crude oil will force our hand. My tale is probably similar to yours ---- after much 'psychological resistance' , a reasoned evaluation resulted in me looking for a BMW 330d SPORT as the 'family car'. However when push came to shove in the showroom I couldn't resist the traditional petrol version and ended up buying a 330 Sport petrol version. It could also have had something to do with the several thousand pound premium the diesel was commanding over the petrol. Anyway I have had the petrol 330 for a couple of months now and it goes like stink and is the most solidly built car I have ever owned. However, considering the similarity with the VR6 in engine facts such as displacement, I foolishly believed that my fuel consumption would also approximate to the VR. Reality has hit hard, and the combined figure I'm getting from the BMW is around 25mpg. The highest Ive obtained on the motorway cruise is 28mpg. I find this unacceptable to be honest especially when BMW quoted figures are 4-5mpg better. My decision - to trade in the 330 sport for the new series 330d sport when it comes out in a few months. In the end of the day, what we want is grunt and with torque figures that defy belief from the new common rail BMW engines, no-one can say they are not 'sporty engines'.

According to his advert on CCGB website reserve is likely to be around £8K The fact that it didn't sell doesnt mean that it won't crop up later on ebay / autotrader / local press and someone will pay that money and be sadly conned. We know the registration of the vehicle - maybe John Munyard should make an alert page on the CCGB for registrations to look out for and likewise on the forum........ In the end of the day, none of us want to pay a lot of money for our perfect Corrado to find out its been written off twice. Its a horrible feeling............. :( :(
