I changed my floor mats recently and have now found getting in to gear especially 1st and reverse required loads of pressure on the clutch pedal and the biting point seems to be from minimal travel from the floor and it's constantly crunching. I always remember it biting nearer the floor end of travel but find it better without the new mat. I'm interested in finding a solution to this.

Have you tried changing the latency on the port settings for the cable? Abs port on my vr6 only communicates if the port latency is around 4ms. Also check resistance of each abs sensor with a multimeter.

Guessing you have, but have you tried changing the latency on the computer port?

Have got a set of gaz coilovers on order for mine. Anyone had any experience? Couldn't see anything through reading the many many many pages of this thread. Was budgeting £500ish which I narrowed down to h&r comfort kit and gaz setup. Went for gaz due to the amount of adjustment height and damper seems a good package for the price. I'm going from weitec gt ( fixed height at the back. Adjustable at the front) to these.. let you know how I get on.

I realised(after removing my dash) it wouldn't fit my vr as centre console is different depth at the bottom. Evening all I've been told now numerous times by different garages that it is not possible to read my 93 vr's ecu due to it being too old. Clearly I know as from reading on here that 1st thing mentioned to do when there is an engine or brake problem is get it scanned on vagcom. Does it require a system driven by a floppy disk on a massive amstrad computer or is there adapters to retro fit the likes of snap on diagnostics. Just getting sick of the BS. I have an abs fault and the cars not running right. Cheers Chris

When i replaced my dash I used this stuff in a few of the creaky joints. I also lined the heater box exchanger flaps with it too. It's about the same thickness as the foliage seal which I've just purchased I'm sure this stuff could the job for that too. Costs about £3 from wickes

Hi all! I'm Chris, i have a k reg burgandy vr. miltek exhaust, weitec coilovers, black montreal 2's, lupo wipers. I confess i have had it 8 years, got it with 135000 ish and now up to 190000. Still love it as much as when i first got it. There has been a few ups and downs over the years but i wouldn't want to have any other car. I thought it was about time i got on the forum although i have been lurking a while. The information on this forum has been so useful. I must thank everyone who has contributed. This is my reason for joining. Thankyou!! I don't think i'd still have a Corrado without the forum.
