Take a bucket mate and some 'dry clean' found in Halfords and a chamois - that will sort it out when you get there.... Jet Washes strip wax off paintwork and force water into lights and bearings... Scott

It would be good at such an event as this if they put the forum and the CCGB together so that we mixed plus more Corrados in one area so a more likely impact on the public.... Im not sure about the issues you mention therefore cannot really comment but it does sound as though it needs to be dealt with - Andi has always wanted to keep the Forum seperate from the CCGB which is fine but that doesnt mean it always has to be that way at events? - the whole idea is having fun and meeting other Corrado owners.... it doesnt actually sound a serious problem though! As for the CCGB yearly meet I have no idea if non members are invited but will find out - I do plan on hopefully going - depends on the other half! :D

Fair enough - it wasnt actually clear.... apologies. Anyway get your money out and become a member - you wont regret it! *:) Scott.

Not at all mate... just stating the facts. I just get fed up of slander against the CCGB - you mention its a 'less organised venture' yet are not a member therefore dont actually know - therefore suggest becoming a member before voicing your opinion. The CCGB is actually a great club - for a miserly £15 last year I have saved about £300... cant get better than that hence why sticking up for them. I enjoy both the CCGB and the Corrado Forum - I actively take part in both and have met alot of people through them and that is what its all about.

Yup but how often does that happen *;) I live up North and I have only seen about a dozen Corrados in 5yrs!!!! - I see a Golf every ten mins Scott

Mate: Handbrake can be adjusted in ten mins from inside the car..... take the centre console off where handbrake is and you will see two handbrake cables.... I adjusted mine by jacking up back of car and kept tightening the nuts on the cables evenly until the wheels locked on the back then loosened off a couple of turns... handbrake should click three times as a rule when pulling up.... Accelerator cable - buy a new one from VW (£20) and install it.... make sure grommet is fixed into bulkhead... takes five mins to do. Both jobs are easy to do so have a go! Scott

RAMS: If you want to sell those Eibach springs let me know as I will be putting brand new shocks on my VR shortly and the springs would be nice 8) Cheers Scott

Wrong - 10 passes have been allocated this year for CCGB and all of them are being used...
-
There is only one thing that does it for me..... and its this: How many Golfs do you see on the road against how many Corrados ........ 8) I bought the Corrado not only for its speed/ handling/etc - but because 50% of the UK population dont even know what it is!!! I like that - I dont want to be seen in something thats common and yes Im a snob Scott
-
Rams: That would be excellent mate!!! - Its the chrome / silver style badges am after! My calipers are now silver and I have now installed the new pagid fast road pads all round so should make a nice difference to the braking power... also cleaned me engine bay and did all the plastic, etc - looks mint :D
-
I totally agree mate but am having problems trying to find the silver VR6 badges!!! I wouldnt mind getting silver CORRADO for the back too.... and new VW badges too!!!
-
This is SPOT ON advice..... 8)
-
Yup thats what I plan on using - smootherite - used it on previous car and lasts years!!! - especially if give it two coats. I'm not sure about gold - I think silver would be better... Going to try it today when I do the brakes - if I dont like then I'll be changing the colour *:)
-
Sounds awesome that video clip - what you done to the car
-
Missus says silver.....
-
My exact thoughts - my missus even takes the piss as the first thing I do when I have started the car is set the MFA so I can watch the oil temp
-
RED is so tacky and OTT!!!!  I painted them red on my old Astra GTE and hated them *:) I believe they come bronze as new?
-
Am doing brake disc / pads / bearings, etc this week and thought would give the calipers a good scrub up and a lick of paint.... Im after a 'OE' look therefore which colour would you go for? Bronze? Silver? Car is aqua blue.... Cheers Scott
-
Your not doing your engine any favours mate......
-
I did mine on my old 16V (although not done it on VR6) and it makes a hell of a difference! - do it! - is a ten min job to fit!
-
I didnt think you could change the timing on the 16V 1.8 Corrados (same as MK2 Golf 16V Engines) as the dizzy is fixed....
-
Well to be fair that Jag got 200bhp of NOS.... You wouldnt add 200bhp of NOS to a VR6 and expect it to last long....
