Anyone know where I can find an Eibach or KW set up? As long as it's 22/25 really. Tried all the big stockists and theyre both on back log to the tune of 2 months at least. Ta
  3. Fighting a losing battle with Autoglym engine degreaser... but then again it is inch thick in places hahaha Should've gone Verso me thinks
  4. Ah well, not to worry. Bladdy hell, the back will brake harder than the front hahaha. Defo put me down for a set. Triffic

  8. Lookin mint there Daren :notworthy:
  9. Had two compliments whilst I was sussing ball joints, track rods and arb links at my house... both from two separate ambulance drivers who were responding to my neighbour who'd had a heart attack. 1st paramedic: "is that yours". Thinking she wanted me to move it, "yep". "it's larrrrvly". 2nd paramedic: "... that's made my day seeing that." Nice guy, had an ST220. Got me thinking afterwards though that it probably wasn't much of a task to make his day
  10. Discovered the fuse the other day Daren, nice work :) Ross
  11. Bought one for £40 quid for the VR and it was absolute dog pap. Cleaned up the old one in the end and even though it's on its last legs it was still waaaaay better than that E-barstard one.
  12. For anyone experiencing this gimp - 1 1/4'' copper washers packed behind the larger bearing receiver saves the day. Next stop: paint shop.
  13. Bugger, that means I'm gonna have to follow suit to see if it solves it :pale: Good mod though yeh?
  14. Do you run a rear ARB, Mr DG?
  15. No such luck this end! wondered if I'd pressed the bearing receiver ring in too far so dremeled the b a s t a r d out and stuck the old receivers in shy of the stop and nope, still grinding away. Totally undrivable. Swapped the bearings - nope, same s h i t. Really don't want to put the old ones back on. Quite a wedge hey. Only thing I can think to do is get a chamfered metal washer fabricated up to sit the bearing off the axle a little more. Thanks for the response though bud.
  16. Sorry for the lack of pictures... I'll do my best to explain - Essentially, the dome allen bolts are rubbing against the new discs... and the problem is exacerbated around corners what with the poxy taper bearings et all. On the rear of the old discs the centre of the bearing housing is level with the swept area of the disc but on this new set up the swept area of the disc is proud by some way... consequently forcing the disc to sit further towards the hub and therefore into the domed allen bolt. Please tell me I'm doing something daft!
  17. Yep, that's pinged over. Oh and cheers Stormy for the nudge
  18. Cheers Sean. I'm gonna pick his brains once ive booked the racelogic and wheel alignment in. That's if he needs any more work!
  19. Cheers Mr Portent. Yep, I certainly landed on my feet: classic motor cherished by a top bloke. Well chuffed
  20. Just had a nice little gander at your thread - I need to up my game! Love the 301s. Never seen a set in the flesh but Christ they sit triffic
