1. Cheers bud, wish I'd've asked earlier haha
2. Ahh, gotcha. Thanks Jim.
3. Just above the front engine mount you've got two plugs (leading to oil sensors?), coming out of the top plug loom wrap I've got this plug thing doing nowt but dangling. Can't find the spade it plonks on... Despite trawling photos and wiring diagrams. Green and earthy lookin. VR. Ta Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Saaaweet motor, nearly went there meself. Btw, THIS THREAD NEEDS MORE TURBO PORN!
5. Both items now sold. Thank you to both buyers and to those who showed interest. Ross
6. This is true. Just discovered that that OBDeleven thing is for android only, would've been saaaweet to have that on the move at all times. Ah well, I'll follow your advice. Chars again.
7. Thank you, that's a big help. Just noticed on the vag com thread there's an OBDeleven app thing that sounds freaking awesome. Is it anywhere near as comprehensive as vcds anyone know? Not really a cost cutting exercise, more a time cutting... think the summer would be over by the time vcds arrived from the states. Ta
8. That happens to be my sister's favourite :norty::lol:
9. That mystery lead lives amongst the wiring in the top plug as we look. Cannae find a spade haha. Oh and I thought it'd post me plug on there to be absolutely sure - 94vr... Excuse the dremel savagery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. Wow, some seriously insightful and well written info on this 'ere thread. Kudus. 2 quick Qs, 1) There's this loose earth coloured wire flopping about near the thermostat housing, where's the spade?! 2) Do you have a link for the VCDS and the cable? Gonna stop relying on pot luck. Ta
11. Oh bloody hell, that really does suck arse. Not much of a job though you'd think, but must admit that's the one thing I haven't changed so wouldn't know. 3 years! Know what you mean, I've spent thousands on the best mods and overhauled most sensors/bushes etc and still can't enjoy it. Gonna have to splash out on vagcom me thinks. Best of luck fella.
12. To be honest, I've no farking idea. The only thing I know is that the plugs fit and it's made in Hungary and not Germany. It hasn't popped a fuse yet though. I'm kinda in a foul mood with the farker, been through 3 sets of coolant sensors (each with different running characteristics), and now it's stalling like a kunt despite a new isv. I'd love to know how quickly the fuel trims adjust after replacing sensors, maybe that's it. Who am I kidding. Soz for the rant.
13. Yeh, they're yellow, but I blended in some v2s :thumb right::thumb right: I like them, and it's a well worthwhile mod, but cant say I had a 'wow' moment on the test drive... unlike, that is, the vibratechnics mounts. Those poly bushes for the front is hands down the sh1ttiest thing I've ever encounted (and I've been to Morocco), so maybe its tainted them forever haha. Christ knows what an extra 3mm will present. Godspeed.
14. Sorry, that's the best I've got with it fitted. It really did fit well in the valance though, projecting enough so you could fully read the milltek inscription with a smudge to spare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. I wouldn't put 25mm on the front personally (and I didnt, went for kw). Think there's probably good reason why the vast majority of manufacturers have that 25/22mm split... Probably understeery with too thick a front.

21. I don't know anyone up there to recommend but what worked for me was going on a local fb group. I actually went to a very well respected garage first (costing a hell of a lot of cash) and it just still didn't feel right, downright dangerous at speed if I'm honest. Joined a fb group and was recommended a garage that, if I'm honest, I'd never have given the time of day (lesson learnt). It was pulled onto the 4-point laser thingy and the rears were not even close to tolerance - as far in the red as it was possible to be. Now corrected, it feels more planted than ever. It really matters on the individual actually doing it and how much time they're prepared to spend in doing a proper job... and not the 'reputation'. My two penneth.
