Stuck the dual borla on and had a tidy underneath. Nice scaffold pole hanging out the back now  , but saying that, in the flesh it looks really quite good. Pics are misleading sometimes. Oh and the fan module arrived as I was tidying up so hopefully the cooling is finally sussed. Wish that Techtonics sealant stuff would bladdy hurry up and cure, bladdy tease. Not sure how long to leave it tbh.

What exhaust, no one has a definate answer......

Yep. Excellent condition. Not entirely sure it'll be loud enough for you though as it has 2 mufflers. Saying that, I've been running it with a standard cat so pretty sure a decat will unveil some pop. -
Bliddy nice mate, I need to buck me ideas up  Never seen a flush tailpipe like that before, thought it would get a bit cruddy. Huh, might have to try it meself. Those tank straps do look the bizzo I must say.

Personally it think it's unlikely as all they do is bridge anyway, so water ingress/shorting would most likely just cause running issues. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Best I can do is keep ya posted on how the module swap goes as it should land Thursday.

Dual Borla!.. to make things even less definitive  Saying that, it's still living on me lounge floor and you'd probably want the single muffler so maybe I should hush me gums. Miltek up for grabs though! -
VR6 Timing Chains/Tensioner replacement quote (Feedback Appreciated)

Superba. I'll take the clips out of me Roose basket then  Is there some kind of spring clip kit somewhere then? Sorry to hijack the thread. -

Are the Roose clips the spring type or jubilees? -
I'd stick with gravity. British Gash would stick a combi in all day long but low-ish water pressure would really get on your jubs after a while (especially if 2 sources are running simultaneously), so I tend to quote gravity in this circumstance. Combis have their place - I've got one, but I live in a shoebox where I'll have the occasional guest over.

I went for http://www.tav-autoverwertung.de/shop/New-Radiator-fan-control-unit-VW-357-919-506-SHO-89-8718-000 . Couldn't find one on ebay that matched the plugs and I wanted a new one as 2nd hand electronics make me twitchy. I've replaced all 3 sensors in the housing (plus the housing as it was p1ss1ng coolant) and a low temp thermostat. Got a rad switch coming as well as I forgot all about it. I know it's a little bit of a shotgun approach but it's not like it's for a customer and new gubbins makes me 'appy.

Same! Just done a random search and this popped up from 3 days ago. Spooky. I've ordered a fan module from ze germans as it's getting a worrying 110c. Stage 2 seems to be nadgered n'all, hopefully this is linked.

A car pulled out on him, made me winse, lovely car wondered if anyone knew this owner as keen for a meet up and cruise with some local corrado heads. Did someone say cruise?

1) Solved my light steering. 2) New bosch isv. 3) New plugs. 4) Simple clean of the maf (still amazes me how a simple spray or two of maf cleaner transforms the economy and zeal of the whole drive). 5) Had a go at a boulder sized chip repair (woud've been seemless had the paint been a match :bad-words: ) Biggest lesson learnt today was the so-called 'specialists' aren't always all that and you should consult mechanics on local forums as they're more emotionally invested in doing a proper job.

I slung the uprated KW bars on and the bushes are super hard... well that's my excuse anyway
-
Worst job in history that. Truly horrific.

I'm a big fan of Menzerna polishes (obviously once things have been prepped), and Meguiars Wash and Wax anywhere with a quality microfibre. The paint was pretty good when I got it but I flatted it out with a denim pad, polished it up with the Menzerna range and now birds fly into the side of it. The Meguiars is the best detailer I've come across (tried Bouncers, chemical guys, Dodo and a few others) but nothing gets close to it. It must be said that mine isn't a daily but when it's used it's always flawless as the QD takes 5 mins.

Where did everyone get a copy? Tried a big Tossco earlier (bit of a long shot I know), and drew a blank at WHSmithys as well. Is this an online order mag or summat? Cheers -
 I swear that active spoiler is fack all to do with downforce and everything to do with making up for the ****e anchors. The look on that pheasant's face said it all.
-
Defo no to the Audis thanks. I'm gonna go down the Tarox route me thinks. I totalled the crap out of a pheasant the other day (knackering me brand spanking lenses) and I swore there n then I'd go balls deep on the front brakes. Still on standards! They're a ruddy joke aren't they! How they ever got away with that spec I'll never know.

Ta very much. Let me have a think (I've just nailed a fair klag of firecraacker sauce and I currently can't see straight) and I'll get back to you. I bought some meself off here blind and they arrived like something dragged up from the marianas trench and I cant be arsed to resurrect them. Cheers. Gimme a bit.

Ta very much. It doesn't seem to correspond (or in my case, compute) so that'd be a big ol help. I'm on the sauce tomorrow so apologies in advance for any gibberish... this is sober me btw haha.

Thanks. That was the first place I looked but the part numbers didn't tally up right. Maybe I misread it. Fakkin noobs.
