James - if there's even a sniff of the Campaign coming on the market let me know ... ---------- Post added at 1:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:33 PM ---------- Jay - shame, but I know that circumstances change which mean different priorities, been there myself with selling the Campaign... but I'm sorry once you're part of the family you never leave ... -
Any of you guys know if the VW MFD2 NAV will play SACD or DVD-A ?
Campaign replied to Mawrick's topic in Off-topic Chat
Extremely unlikely I'm afraid. It almost certainly won't do SACD as it takes a lot of hardware changes to do that, DVD-A might be possible with a software upgrade, but I doubt anybody would bother finding the time to do it tbh. -

Indeedy, I'm just about to (hopefully) change jobs and my new job should be getting a company car for once, so I'm looking to get something to "keep my own insurance running" (well, that's what we tell the Mrs' anyway ;) Funnily enough, I was thinking about what I wanted, and one thought was "something like Jay's old Project car ... I probably won't know for definite for a few weeks yet, so like I say, if you're not in a rush we should talk. --- NB Just realised my mistake there, mixed up Jay and James --- 8-) -

Jay - if you're not in a hoog rush, this may be just the thing I'm looking for ... as I too am looking to get back into C ownership. -
Stanford Hall - M6 convoy Sunday am
Campaign replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Guys, don't forget to come and say HI to me, I'll be stuck on the Cars for Sale near the main entrance :) -
The Official Corrado Campaign thread (where are they now)
Campaign replied to James.'s topic in General Car Chat
That was the Gilders of Sheffield one, and ended up in a salvage yard in NE somewhere (Newcastle probably) it had a kiss with a Land-Rover at some temporary traffic lights apparently which tore open the side like a can opener..., and the one I subsequently bought, and then to my eternal regret sold to TCS, and is now in Ireland. -
Nah, it didn't go that far... ;)
-
:sigh: If only I could find another one ... Unfortunately time (and money) were against me...

James, possibly unlikely people have spotted them, as AFAIK there are only at most 2 on the road in the UK (Mine's in Eire), and potentially don't get out much ;) ---------- Post added at 01:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:01 PM ---------- That one was Chris de Bono's, a dentist from Northamptonshire, and was the car that came from Coventry. Went to London in about 1999, probably just after this article was published. -
Campaigns - You gotta luv 'em :)

Good to see this is going well :)

This is not one of the Campaigns ... :) There's only one 1 owner Campaign, and that's a lady owner in Suffolk (?) -

That must be Tim then, as he owned at least two at some point... -

I'll throw my oar in here with a comprehensive list later when I get home ... I have details on 5 of the six, but alas one seems destined to be lost forever (I also believe this is the one that Majik had the SEATS from, he was lacking the dashboard and steering wheel. Who's Ugly Bloke? Is that Tim? I was the 3rd owner of mine. -
Just catching up again on this story, and it's very heart warming. Essentialy James is doing what I intended to do, but never had the time. Good to see that you've incorporated Air-Con into the design - this was the one thing that I always said was lacking on the "ultimate Corrado"

I'm really glad that somebody is taking the time to rebuild a Campaign, I really wanted to this to my own one, but unfortunately time, money and a growing family were against me. I'd love to see how this turns out :) Best of luck!

Hi folks - Good to know that the ol' Camp' is still being cared for :) I thought it had new plates when it went west of the border? Sorry for not keeping them, it all went a bit pearshaped when I sold the ol' girl :(
-
I sold the Campaign to him... he seemed a bit of an opportunist, but then what car trader isn't? As for parts - he's probably pretty hopeless to be honest, he doesn't seem to know an awful lot about Corrados, but seems keen to sell them. Oh, and he hates the Forum btw ;) Made the mistake of trying to sell a 16v on here once apparently...

I'm seriously considering not watching any more GP due to this and last GP's Massa affair... In GP2 this weekend again, they even gave somebody a Drive-Thru for cutting in the pit-lane...

£249 / month on contract hire from VW... More details to follow...

If you want to pop over the Leicester sometime I could have a go at setting it up. A lot depends on what you like to listen to anyway. A sub should certainly help, but again, what sub depends on what type of sound you want - drum and bassy get a 12" - rock, get a 10" for that punch!

Agree with Andy on this - waiting a few years until 2nd hand CC R36s are below £10k ;)
