  1. what about this: - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/83995.htm
  2. hmmm very good points! I know Guy had an S3 and an R32 - the S3 is sold A firend of mine from school (Charlie) had an S3 and said it didn't have a nice engine noise - he's use to V6's Nathan - How much to get 270 brake like you're old one? The R32 goes to 300 with AMD having cams, Milltek and remap - 60 bhp extra without a turbo and the noise is amazing! The S3 does look better and the interior is nicer, VW servicing is starting to be become the most expensive in the trade - nice to keep dealer SH on newish cars
  3. Yes I do like the Audi S3! I can't decide between that or a MK4 R32 I think the Audi is prettier and I've never owned an Audi But the Golf has a 3.2 V6 and looks a bit beafier The Audi is about £4k cheaper pro's and con's people!?
  4. M Coupe's are cool, we get alot of calls about customers compalining they are on their 4th Vanos, gearbox and diff though. 350z on chrome's... not going to be left in a car park over night Kev - how many horses does the E55 in pistonheads have? What do you rekon is cheaper to run out of an E36 M3 or Porsche 968?
  5. hehe I tried to write sw@nky but had to change it to posh as the filter thought I was typing the old 5 knuckle as some call it suitably impressed is what we're after
  6. Kev: - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/73779.htm there's a £11,500 E55 AMG for you! Okay this isn't suppose to be a car for pulling... it's just a factor into the purchase that girls should like them - for example we met some hot crumpet at Henley who said they'd never get in a Subaru. On the notes of shallow - I'm not looking to get married just yet! The looks and handling and performance are the most important criteria. Porsche 968 is winning at the moment VR6 - that was suppose to be a R32 or Corrado Storm Jimbo - post some pics up of your S3 - I want a black one with white leather and low miles!
  7. Jag XJS - road races... every day - petrol = 1.5 mpg 964 - hmmm very interesting, the convertible ones look very nice indeed! Kind of pushing over £15k though and I guess servicing costs would be silly? If I get a job at Porsche, I'll get one!
  8. Bally - not saying we have £15k, just car choices at a reasonable budget ']['H3R4POR - not modified I'm afraid Andy665 - like you're thinking, if it could be two I'd have an John's 16VG60 or an old Chimera (8k) and an old Golf. 1 car is more difficult!
  9. Just been talking with Ben about what we'd have for an only car for £15k tops. Must be fun, quick, look good, good build quality, girls should like it (very important). It must be used for the daily commute, poncing around and going to posh restaurants as well as going to car meets and having some road races in. The current list: - Edited 06/07/06 Audi S3, TT (sorry) BMW E46 330ci/d, E36 M3 Honda S2000 Lotus Elise S2 Porsche 911 (964), 944 S2 Cab, 968 Club Sport/Sport Vauxhall VX220 VW Golf R32 What do you rekon is important for an only car? A factor also to consider is that it will get left out now and again when too drunk to drive so can't be a vandals dream - Escort Cosworth
  10. Wicked Wheels in Guildford are doing it for me - £40 including tyre off, tyre on and balancing, not bad I rekon
  11. Does anyone still have a how to guide? I really have no idea, spent ages trying to sort it out (properley)
  12. Oh and also, the Reading head office is the only Porsche agent that will service the Carrera GT - the workshop was full of them! I forgot how to speak for a bit! Very cool office, it had Cayenne's hidden in the trees around the perimiter - Land Rover style, but still looked good
  13. It went well - so HR tell me But the job isn't 100% confirmed, they are doing alot of restructuring and wanted someone to do what I'm doing at BMW, so it's still a possibility for later. I really need money to fund my car habits though so I have accepted a job with Samsung in Chertsey for the time being, sounds like a pretty fun job
  14. ugliest car available to humanity!
  15. A couple of pictures would be awesome! I have no metal wires in the foam? I just have the foam and cloth with one wire through the front and a plastic straight at the back
  16. As you can tell I've just been searching on how to refit seat covers and found this... Unfortunately none of the links work to the guides. Both the drivers seat and passenger seats in the "Project VR6" are not on properley and the foam looks pretty new. How do I fit the lower section (bit you sit on)? Currently I can lift this off on both seats. There is a wire running through the cloth at the front and a straight piece of plastic at the back. I'm not sure if the foam is supposed to be clipped into the seat frame or glued or what? Any help would be most excellent! Neil
  17. It's a two piece split - just the center is removable, there is no inside and outside dish, all one piece. Can anyone recommend a good place near Bracknell? Someone at work has said it would put the wheel out of balance?
  18. Thanks Jim, will give that a go over the weekend! Just got myself 4 speedline's that have just been refurbished by Pristine! Just need to get some tyres sorted and she should be looking pretty good! Fitted a new header tank and flushed the system also There was this orangy crap all over the old header tank - thought it was coolant but it's not the right colour?
  19. yeah, just asked Hugo he said to get a new one I've emailed the guy with the refurbed ones with black centres so will see about that also!
  20. Hi All I have the 328i sport BBS's - 2 piece but a similar shape to the RS's The outer lip on the inside has an inch crack, which deflates the tyre. Can this be mended and where? A new one costs £400! Thanks Neil
  21. I'd think a bit more than the oil pump going did that! I rekon someone would pay £3k for that Golf - low miles and black The one on ebay is white and nobody wants a white car
  22. I think it should look like a 997 shape 911 turbo, be 4 wheel drive and have a spoiler like the Veyron It should also have a red VR16 badge at the front and rear!
  23. 1. Your BMW is equipped with four orange flashing lights, one at each corner. What should you use them for? A: To indicate my intention to turn at an approaching junction B: Nothing: they are entirely decorative, and have no practical purpose C: To enable me to park wherever and whenever I choose, regardless of disruption to other users of the footpath. I chose C
