Can you fit this boost return system to car car with a Golf g60 type intercooler?? i know the bbm silencer kit only works with the standard corrado g60 intercooler??
-
anything will do matey! havent seen the g-werks system yet :)

i know a mate who got a bare metal respray done on his Toyota, ended costing him £5000 in total!!!!

its bloody loud at the moment! especially with the toothed pulley kit on! and its not too bad tbh... i am looking into maybe swapping the charger for a BBM Lysholm when i next need to get the charger rebuilt sometime next year... as i think it would be the next step forward for more useable power and with a 50mm pulley i should see approx 16 - 17psi top whack with one of these Lysholms, its making 15 psi at the moment with the G lader, so there wont be massive gains in out and out power top end it should be more of a midrange boost i would hope to see by swapping the chargers over??

Just loaded that clip! thats no louder than my G60 charger?? infact mine may even be louder! must have been looking at a different clip when i saw that scirroco....
-
nice one Furk'z! the car looks amazing in PVW!
-

ahhh, will have to see if i can find anymore clips of the charger in action then?? only really seen one clip and that was a yellow scirroco.... does look like an awesome bit of kit!
-
average around 25 mpg, have seen 45 mpg on motorways occasionally!
-
cant you get a silencer kit for the Lysholms to make it little more quiter?? remember hearing a clip of one and it was stupidly loud!
-
Absolutely love your golf mate!!! makes me want to get another Mk2..... maybe a mint Mk2 G60...hmmm :)

yeah they are the "rallye" lenses, IMO they dont look OE enough so i have got some different ones coming from the states in a few days that should sort it out a bit better. Had a bit of difficulty getting a non streak finish on the inside of the lense, i got it as good as i could, but ideally i might go over them again with a larger softer brush to get it better... then again you can hardly noticed the slight streak effect when the glass lenses are on anyway.... 8)

Just the fogs left to do now!

i havent really tried t-cut to be honest?? i have been playing with this farquela G3 & G10 stuff at the moment which seems to work pretty nicely, although i think i need more of a t-cutting type polish as the G3 is only a compound and will not polish up paint surfaces??
-
Can someone do me a huge favour?? i am crap on photoshop and would like to see what the car would look like with the outer rim lip polished on the D90s?? its been playing on my mind for a while now whether or not to get them done?? heres a pic or 2... not sure if they are big enough Any help would be much appreciated!

god!! i would defo do the wet and dry by hand!! :) Gonna give it a go on a small patch first, cant see much going wrong aslong as i dont go over the top with the wet and dry... i ve had a quick go with my new "porta cable" polisher, it works really well, the paintwork doesnt heat up anywhere near as much than with other rotating polishers and its amazingly quick! :)
-
heard this term a few times before?? it involves going over the body with a very fine wet & Dry (2000 grit) and then polishing it back up. i am guessing the main reason for this is to completey restore the paintwork?? i am looking to do something similar to my roof as its starting to oxidise a little and want to get it looking half decent, just got my self a shit hot orbital polisher which should take so of the pain out of polishing.... Anyone had any experience doing this kinda thing before, i have done this on newly painted panels just not really sure it will work on older panels in the same way??
-
that was the pic i was looking for ages ago!! looks awesome! just gotta pull my finger out and get started on them... :)
-
yeah got the 195/40s on mine! got a very nice stretch indeed, they do look awesome, although i may change to 205/40s when i next change tyres as i think this will give me better overall grip and more confidence when turning into a corner....theres not much tyre wall with the 195/40s :)

Right! i am definately convinced now! gunna give it a go! Gunna start by just doing the yellow bits first and see how i get on! then maybe do the black detailing... :) P.S. has anyone come across a guide that shows the how to do the black detailing? and what sort of black paint to use??

think that golf looks quite cool! although i am not sure doing the whole light in yellow on a rado would suit it?? though i do think the high beam tinted in yellow looks the nuts! You can only try cant you.... and see what it looks like
