hopefully i can get around the awful 1st & 2nd Gears of the standard g60 box when when i put my Vr6 / G60 hybrid box on the car, when i can be bothered to fit it... 8) that should help deliver the power a bit more nicely.
-
just found out its got 225bhp @6100 and 236Lbs torque @ 1600rpm !! bloody quick then!!
-
My mate has just got one of these.... :) Have to say they do look very nice indeed, although his gearbox seized about 2 miles down the road from the dealer!! Anyone been in one? Everyone seems to think it will wipe the floor with my car??
-
i suppose it depends how board the police are at the time, i ve been followed lots of times by police cars with no reaction from them, although one did give me a dodgy look... :)
-
just ordered items 6,7,8 & 9 came to just over £50 for a pair of each! Should be worth it though as they are VAG.
-

common mate , wheres the piccies.... :) must be a pain in the arse to only have 3..... i wouldnt be a happy chappy at all.. -
rite guys , just about to take delivery of a set of Konigsports from "yanyards" :) i have seen advertised in venom motorsport that you can get uprated bonrath top mounts and venom do their own kits, are these any good?? Also if i am going to go for the Vr6 top mounts does anybody have any part numbers / prices for the top mount kits and the other bits i need in order to fit to the car. I take it its best to Get VAG Vr6 mounts and not the GSF ones....

now a CNC head sure is worth taking the old one off for :)

unless you need to change the gasket for a reason , take the charger off first and get that checked out first, i went through the same dilema as you and was releaved it was only the bearing seal in the charger, 2 minute job at G-werks... you may not even need to change the head gasket if thats your problem?? And as henny says get the timing checked, unless the head gasket is old, i very much doubt you would have blown it when the belt went, i ran mine for a mile without any belt on at all and the temp rose to a touch over 120 ish and it managed to survive maybe i was just lucky??
-
that happend to me matey! turned out i had blown out a seal in the charger (due to excess oil pressure or something) causing the smoke out the back.... the belt usually snaps when the pulleys arent alligned properly and / or there isnt enough tension in the system. The seal shouldnt be too much trouble just whip the charger out and get it off to G-werks and darren should be able to help you out. :)

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

excellent mate thanks, will have to start making enquiries pretty soon, not sure whether i am going to have time prepping it all myself... i would rather let someone who knows what they are doing do it for me as i dont have the patients to prep paint 8) then again i suppose that would take a hell of a lot of the cost out of the total cost of a spray job?? Just incase i may think about doing a similar thing have you got any tips you can PM me which may give me some idea of what i would be letting myself in for?? my paintwork isnt horrible its just i ve neer been happy with it, if you get what i mean some parts are really good but when i look at other parts like the roof it seems to let the whole car down...maybe its just me ... i was thinking of getting it done in stages , but this would lead to paint matching problems so i ve started my respray savings account and hope to have enough for a decent job just before the winter, its just finding the right place that i can leave my car with the knowledge that its not at a cowboy shack! -

might need a bit of "quiet" time to myself in the corner when i see this car tm at stealth! 8) Also jay the guy that did your paint work? is it likely i would be able to get mine done by the guy you used?? or his he snowed under with similar work??, not bothered about travelling the country just wanting an ace sprayer! prob looking at getting the whole car done in september / october time?? -
get in contact with potatonet , he organised the last fog light lense group buy, not sure if you can still get these lenses anymore tho as they are now obsolete, think there is someone else on here that is planning on making up new lense tho??

Will this Water Injection mix damage my engine in anyway??
Shaggy replied to Shaggy's topic in Engine Bay
yeah got a tap from ebay, managed to find a cheap tap and die set (£5) that included the tap i needed :) I have mounted mine in the boot at the moment and it seems to work quite well, my water tank is only supported by cable ties at the moment as i havent had time to make up brackets yet but it seems to be holding. Got to tidy it all up a bit, but the main thing is that it all works! :) -
Very nice cool looking car you got there mate, like what youve done to it, looks awesome! :)

Indeed they do Mike [/quote:ea7d8] hmmmm may very well be interested then mate... :) will get intouch with you within a few days by email
