check that the oil breather on the block isnt blocked or clogged up. Should be a pipe going from it to the airbox, when these get clogged it can make 16Vs smoke i believe. Wouldnt have thought the Valve stems would need doing already with a low mileage engine.

RS301 money 8) They are ET40.. but i am running an 8mm spacer on the fronts and going to be running a 30mm spacer on the rear very soon with some negative camber so it will just tuck under the arches nicely i think. :D I am very imprest by how much these rims weigh aswell! very light wheels for a 17"

Hi Mike, sorry I missed you at No-Rice. Yeah, was wondering about that, however mine happily goes along around 0.8bar between 3500 and 5800rpm, then by 6000 it has dropped to 0.6 bar. Presumably if it tried to go above 0.8 bar it will only vent until it gets back to 0.8 bar. Wonder if it's detecting knock and backing off?? Thats alright mate, i didnt even know you where there..lol Yeah that would also explain it then... the ISV bleeds of at 5800rpm regardless i think. its part of the ECU map i believe. The only way to get around the problem is to either remove the ISV or get a re-route kit.... but its not yet proven whether its a safe method tbh... Or you could just get a 250kpa map sensor.. this would mean the isv would bleed of at higher pressure.. you would also need to get the car remapped again..

You can get a full stainless option now. :D i must admit i was half tempted to get a jetex myself!

Ive heard the Jetex is a very good fitting system.. 2.5" Bore aswell i believe..so should work nicely :D The Milteks dont seem to fit very well IMO.

At that sort of revs the ISV maybe opening trying to get rid of excess boost?? 0.8bar max on most G60s then the ISV bleeds..??

yeah mate i got it! isnt half tempting.. but my money is tied up in other things at the moment for me to buy that 16vG60 lump! awesome engine tho! RSs look quality aswell man! needs lowering at the front tho..lol
