I am not to sure on this either... although if its coming out on the drivers side then it will be facing into the road and not the pavement so may not matter...

thanks sam for the offer mate! i already have a spare bumper in my garage i am gunna cutout to use. Also had proper look under the car.... its gunna be alot easier to route the tailpipe out to the driver side rather than the passenger side.. this means i shouldnt have any trouble with the plod as the exhaust must be on the driver side anyway?? I forgot that the brake bias valve sits right in the way if it came out on the passenger side and would be a pain to route the exhaust through all of that... having it come out on the driver side will only mean i have to heat proof all of the fuel lines and the handbrake cable.

Dont think they would be to happy with it tbh... but aslong as i try and make it suttle it shouldnt cause too much attention from the plod i hope... 8)

I have no idea goldie... i am guessing its a case of just getting a piece of plastic , plastic welded into place and then smoothed over... i will probably let the pros deal with the bumper.. also gunna remove the toe eye aswell..

he will probably wanna do it himself... lol I think there is a powerflow place in southampton which is a 30 minute drive from me.. may be worth a try??

i am not gunna cut it at all untill i have it in a positon where its on the car and fitted so i can see exactly where it will sit.. cant wait to get it on now!!!

yeah i think it does look a little too long in the first set of pics.. will have to see what works best when i get the centre section box modified...

in fact if i was to cut it through the red line i have marked i think that might work??

I have a G60 head in my garage if you need it?? Only has 86000 miles on it... worked perfectly before i swapped it over for my big valve head.. i am open too offers if you need it ..?

This is how my side exit exhaust may look after i have finished playing with the postion... the endpipe is too long at the moment so i think that may be shorted and repostioned so its not pointing so far up... but i think when done it will look really cool! I cant find any decent pics of Big Rons green Mk2 golf... the side exit on his is the style i am aiming for... Thanks Daz for the Exhaust bits... i can start to visualize it much better now mate!

Just had a proper rant down the phone... didnt hesitate to collect my TomTom and send me a new one... so i spose thats a result sort of....

The guy with the Mk2 G60 in the Jan Golf + issue hasnt actually had it on the rollers... it whats they think the mods will achieve... think they are being a little optimistic tbh more like 220 ish..

yeah mine seems to be the same problem..sd card reader error... Currys dont deal with dixons customers either! bit stupid really as they always go on about how much of a big compnay they are yet a simply thing like returning goods is so difficult... i am gunna ask for a refund and get it cheaper at tescos!

yeh done all that steve, these tomtom "ONE" units are a sealed so i dont wanna try and remove battery incase i invalidate the warranty... there is a reset button on the bottom which is meant to reset the unit but this fails to work either....

My Girlfriend got me a TomTom One satnav for christmas... anyway to cut a long story short after setting it up it now no longer wants to boot up... i have tried everything to get it to work but i think it has a fault.. she got it from dixons.co.uk (dixons are online only now)... now i dont really want to wait a year for them to collect it and then send me a new one.. can i just take it back to my local Currys superstore and get an exchange there??.. they are part of the same chain arent they?

thats the look i am after! a suttle and simple side exit.. gunna look into this early next year maybe... looks like there will be a few people doing it now so will be interesting to see the different results people come up with. Just gotta find a decent custom exhaust fitting company in the south... no cowboys! 8) Having a side exit will also mean i will be able to see the flame shoot out of the exhaust when giving it some! cool!!!

Yeah the back needs to come down a little more.. just havent got round to doing it yet furkz.. :D just gotta finish off hacking away @ my spare front bumper and i can get that prepped for paint and i can finally replace the scabby one thats on there at the moment, should supply a little more cold air to the intercooler aswell...

thanks for your help dave.. my bro had already rang un "the Phirm" who originally did the engine conversion they seem to think they may have a spare original piston that will fit his engine... if this falls thru i will get him to get in touch and we will sort something out! cheers mate

thanks goldie! Yeah i prefer the D90s over the RSs aswell now.. all that hassle of rebuilding them only for me to sell them a few months later!! :D

finally fitted the red rear lights!! much better!!

yeah but what about when it comes to checking emissions...?? May just get it done regardless...tbh lol
