Nice vids! the Charged VRs sound soooo nice!! I was gunna post up my vid of me in the G60 having a play with a MK2 Charged VR! but as its not on a private road, you can clearly see my plate and the fact i was driving like a complete C**k i dont really wanna risk posting up the vid and getting caught lol! Was a bloody good laugh tho! didnt realise my Rado would have any chance of keeping up with a Charged VR ! i was pleasantly suprised my car gave it a bloody good run for its money!

all i could make out was that the ratios PVW gave in the article... FYG 02S - 25.4 GQL 02S - 22.2 GLB 02s - 22.6 020 Late mk2 golf - 20.5 02A Rado G60 - 23.9 Also gotta take into account the wheel sizes used on the newer models... that will also make a difference...? Ideally i wanna find out the ratios for each gear in these 6 speed boxes to compare them to the older ratios..? just cant find anything.
-
yeah, should just be a straight Swap!!

Not sure if anyone else has spotted the artical in this months PVW but apparently the new 02S 6 Spd gearboxs found in Mk5 Golfs and Touran TDIs will bolt straight into place onto cable change box cars...? ( Rado G60s etc ) Very tempting i must say.. :D There are 2 variations of the 02S gearbox resulting in different ratios, One box has close ratios (Mk5 Golf fsi - GLB) and the Touran TDi box (FYG) has similar ratios to an 8v GTi... now i am not entirely sure what this means at the moment in terms of which one would work better with our rados but its something definatley worth thinking about as a cheap 6 Speed solution?? What we really need to find out is the spec sheet for each gearbox so that we compare the ratios in these gearboxes to our the current ones in our rados.. Would be nice to have another alternative... 8)

yeah it gained about 10 hp over standard... was 242 before the manifold, after it was 251 :) that was on the same rollers and the temperature was slightly warmer aswell the second time around.... 8)

Hi mate, Its a bit of a fiddle but can be done, i didnt actually fit my manifold on my car, G-werks did that as i just didnt have time.. Anyway afaik the inlet needs to come off and the front engine mount needs to be removed so the engine can fall forward so the manifold will slot in. There maybe a few other things to do but cant remember. Can be done on your drive tho.. may need to jack the car up tho. 8)

I wonder if Jabba actually still get any G60 customers...lol http://www.g-werks.co.uk/

Suprised no one got sucked into that turbo whilst it was running LOL

The coilovers are all over the place in terms of height at the moment... i really need to level it all out a bit more, its just so bloody cold at the moment i havent had time to do anything about it ...LOL Hopefully next on the list is the side exit exhaust which i am gunna start asap so it can be on within a month or two... that and a few other "bolt" on goodies which i should have on by the end of Feb... Its funny you should say the car has a little hint of "Nightrider" my nickname at work is "The Hoff"...lol 8)

Should be an "In tank" pump. You can access it via the boot.
-
if its any help i am fitting a set of AP racing brakes which are 315mm i have been told they will fit behind my D90s... Not sure if this helps tho as they are completely different brakes to the Audi TT items... And no the Design 90s Are not a heavy wheel really...

Looking good mate! is it in the same bodyshop as before? Looks like they are gunna do a top job! i may have to pay them a visit! lol

Surely the S/C Vr6 is gunna be on a par with the 2L16V Supercharged?? gunna be similar power? hardly seems to be any point in building that anymore now that you have that VR in the drive LOL :D Nice VR by the way mate!..
-
surely that would be classed as false advertising then... :D
-
The prices quoted on GPC for the 90mm spoiler... Are they correct? http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/ Seems a bit cheap for a 90mm? surely its wrong? mike.
-
your best bet mate would be to get some adapters... should cost a maximum off £150 - £200 for a set of 4.. i am guessing the audi rims are 5x100?? Thats the easiest way.. The other way would be to convert the hubs over to 5X100 using Vr6 Bits...

you may have to modify the cam at the chain side mate, i am not sure it fits in straight away...? i think you need to remove a bit of material so that it fits into the end bearing cap... not 100% on this, just try and offer the inlet cam onto the head and make sure it fits before you put it all together. 8)

yeah the rear mounts are shot! i have new ones in the garage... the weather hasnt been very DIY outside as of late...LOL

well I had an interseting day!!! the bloody thing broke down whilst i was collecting some parts for work!! had to get by Bro to tow me home, NOT FUN!!! Anyway after about 10 mins of checking absolulety everything it turned out the green wire that connects to the coil was hanging off! every time i accelerated the engine moved the wire away from the coil hence why it cut out.. The relief that it was something as silly as that! Still gunna looking into changing that ISV tho , its never been 100% tbh, gunna try and find a decent secondhand item from somewhere.
-
well i have changed it anyway... i would rather have a vag sender on there anyway tbh... :D also changed the leads and checked the relays which seem to be working ok upon removing plastic casing... The only other thing to check / replace is the ISV.. which i think is the main problem! either that or remove it all together!! :D

Cheers aide! I think i have the part number now... 025 906 041A...? Think this is it?
