  1. Morning all! For those of you that recall my C, you may remember that I couldn't decide if to keep the white wheels or paint/lose them. Just not sure on the white on white thing sometimes! I've just bagged a set of BBS RX2's - 7x15 - for a good price and this would mean the tyres on my white 7x15 wheels would swap straight over. However, the wheels turned up the other day and are in fact 6x15 :( So my question is, has anyone ran both 6 and 7 inch rims and noticed any real difference? I love the way my C rides and handles so don't want to mess with that too much. The tyres on the 6s are shot so I can't test them - and think the 205s on my 7s may look like balloons on the 6s. I just don't want to spend out on four new tyres and regret it!! Hope that makes sense? All opinions welcome as always. Cheers Andy
  2. I'm pretty certain it's part no 36 on here - http://www.partsbase.org/vw/corrado-cor-eu-1995-212-oil-pressure-switch-thermal-switch-temperature-sensor-switch-for-reversing-light/ - in which case part number is 0269061061 I think mine was about £6.00. It didn't sort my running/stalling issues though, it turned out one of the lambda wires was broken
  3. Welcome Colin, enjoy the rebuild ;) - and yes, pics please :)
  4. Yeah they pounce on you quick if you try to get a car up there!
  5. Mine or his? Mine I bought from Grantham in August. He had it a year or so I think
  6. Yeah spot on mate. They're good - I've been using the gates around the back of the estate to photo some of my stock for sale - and the grounds for the rest! lol http://www.yesterdayscars.co.uk/available-cars/sold-cars/
  7. Yeah I'm sure I've seen a few of them!
  8. Ah cool at least you're still riding in it! I'm surprised I've not seen you about in it!
  9. They must have not noticed the car in the garage every time they went in to get their bike out :-D
  10. $200 that's a bargain! 'Garage find ' seems to be another popular term. The funniest I've seen lately was someone stating ' 170k miles but low work duty' what a load of boolicks!! It's still got the miles on it. Another regular one it seems is people describing their car as 'absolutely mint' and then going on to list all the faults and rust on it lol
  11. That Beetle was good, the Morgan was too - a real work of art I think ;)
  12. I was on the MK1 Golf stand yesterday, I liked your line-up of C's ;) I did get chatting to a few of you later in the afternoon but never formally introduced myself - too busy talking about the cars I guess! lol Anyway, it was nice to meet those of you that I did!
  13. LOL! Mine's not that well!! Mechanically and structurally it is sound but has had some bad paint on a few panels and one wing has a couple of crusty bits, but it's not half bad ;) I do have carpets though! lol When will yours be back together then?
  14. Welcome to the forum! Is it drive able or a complete resto project?
  15. I'm there tomorrow, helping man the MK1 Golf Owners Club stand which backs on to the Corrado one so guess will see some of you tomorrow ;)
  16. That looks rather tidy Ray ;)
  17. Fitted the short shift kit from Dave today. Wow, what a transformation!! :) It's got rid of the one thing I didn't like about the car :thumbleft: Money very well spent and I can't recommend it enough if you've not already done this. It doesn't take too long, it's just one of those fiddly jobs to do, but easy enough. Thanks Dave - I love it!!
  18. Thanks Sean, appreciate it ;)
  19. Anyone?? ^^^ I can't see a filter shown on Partsbase so guess someone had just shoved this one in there!
  20. LOL, no worries, thanks for the update :thumbleft:
