I paid £240 I saved on the VAT on this one
-
It's been deliverd (parents house so Mrs don't find out) It's 4.4kg seems good it has come balanced
-
http://vibrationfree.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/crankcasedeflectionpaper.10.pdf good read for you's lot Bit long winded Basically one bit I remember from it is For instance, if during the building of a four cylinder car engine the connecting rods were not match balanced accurately. It would take just one of the four connecting rods to have a heavier big end by just 1 gram at a typical radius of 70mm on the crankshaft, to produce a force of over 2.5 kg at 6000 rpm.
-
With the vibration I hope the balancing will take care of most of it but then again it's a vr6 I am also getting the 4mo box but not using it
-
Curious as have ordered a ttv racing flywheel today which is 4.4kg iirc the standard 4mo one is around 11.4kg Was thinking of lightened pullys but will give it a miss for now plus with all the problems I may have with harmonics etc one thing at a time
-
Does anyone know how heavy the standard duel mass flywheels are? Thank you
-
Great I'm in the process of ordering a 5kg flywheel, competition clutch or maybe the ebay xtd thing
-
Oh right thank you I was under the impression that with it having the same firing order as a straight 6 it would stay smooth like the 12v as it is
-
Hi just trying to get prepping for the swap and getting some mixed info doing the searching How well are the 24v vr6 balanced? I'd rather have it done for peace of mind has anyone on here had there done?
-
Sounds good, is there a picture of what you did with your manifold? As I'm thinking about the lengths of the pipes from the manifolds to the collector that will make a difference on the vr6 burbling
-
Also what's the difference between the 2.8 cast manifolds to the cast r32 manifolds as well as theporsche 3.2 cayenne ones?? How about the r36 manifolds as dubpower list the r32/r36 together
-
Well I need to start prepping for the 24v Has anyone used a competition clutch flywheel for there vr6? I used one on the vrs but to be honest evan with it being noticeable lighter driving wise did not seem different at all nor did it Rev up any quicker Where as my old vtec hell of a lot more responsive I have read through the definitive guide but just to clarify the options with the standard exhaust Manifolds I can use the dubpower ones or what Els is there available If for instance using the milltec mk4 r32 where will it catch? For the time being I'm not too fussed about power just want it running to begin with
-
all going well end of month will be the start date(type r engine gets paid for) Will the standard vr6 cat and scorpion cat back be too restrictive for the 2.8 24v
-
Will a 24v conversion sound similar to this^
-
Well after some more serching it seems to be possible to use the mk4 r32 complete wishbones Will have a problem with the ARB links and it will widen the track slightly
-
http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/191067021733?nav=SEARCH Found them Is there any partiular brands to avoid like qh or first line??
-
Cool thank you cant wait to get it all done Should see improved MPG not having to slow down for bends lol
-
How is the 1.2 negative camber achieved on the corrado??
-
Oh right they have been on the car since around 2007 Thank you anyways I need to change the wishbones either way as it seems there the OEM from factory How about the wheel alignment any perticular way to better the standard set up? Besides the anti roll bar
-
There only the pro kit springs. I didn't think 30mm made that much of a difference My days of hard/stiff suspension on ultra low profile tyres are gone lol
-
Hi I have been searching and seems like the vr6 rado and mk3 golf have same/similar suspension set up? Well basically before mot next month I've had a little nose under car and the track rods and bushes could do with replacing( not found an invoice in service history either) There is no knocking steering bit off I have found some new wishbones with the r32 rear bushes fitted, what benifits is ther with such a set up? I already have 30mm eibach springs with standard bilstien shocks I don want the ride any harder so avoiding power flex type The rack seems ok but while the wisbones are off may as well change the rods and boots etc Rubber on the ball joints are starting to crack Also how is it possible to be able to adjust the camber on the front and rear?
-
I was hoping that the 6 would of been roughly same size as the iphone5 which I have had 2years now I got her the note3 and it's bit on the big side specially making phone calls But if they bring out another iphone with sapphire glass I defo would get as this is my 3rd iphone 5 lol
-
Iphone 6 or damaged v6 4mo golf to strip Rather impressed with the apple watch which is not out till next year
-
These questions now are just for information now out of interest Would anyone know if the sensors on the early 24v are interchangeable with the obd2 12v I know the coolant temp sensors are near enough same Is there a crank sensor or just the cam position sensor? It's having the widebands which have thrown me towards the mk4 ecu Has anyone had better results with the mfa MPG read out recently? Just in case whilst in the middle of it if on new engine if a sensor if duff to swap or get all new
-
Cheers and thank you At moment with recently moving it's all gone a bit haywire If I had one less child I'd have a corrado vr6 lol
