Well obviously with the 12v obd2 ECU standard map with the flaps closed was 197bhp @6100 rpm With the flaps open it was 229bhp @ 6353rpm
-
Yeah it's been done got a problem with the cam position sensor which needs sorting with some det post up a graph shortly got one run with the flaps on and off overlayed
-
Well I hope I have more than 140ft lbs lol on stealthy rollers

I don't think its the MAF but the inlet air temp sensor The stock posision in the inlet has a lot of heat soak On a cold day near 3degrees outside I was getting around 28-32 degrees IAT on a motorway run and lot higher for town driving up to near 50degrees!! I have moved the sensor to inside the air filter and it dropped the IAT significantly which in turn give bit more timing advance At the moment my filter is above gearbox and IAT is normally 3-5 degrees night than outside temp

I looked in to this couple weeks back and at current exchange rate it was around 650-700 iirc for 1 Problem I have is getting cash together quickly without her finding out

I wedged my iPhone between bootlid and bumper Turdy vids in the dark was bit scared of phone dropping out too Just to add to the sound clips One is going slowly over speed bumps Other is with some throttle

That's what I noticed with the avons I got these falkens for £55 each fitted I think a wavetrak lsd would help a lot -
It's the finer bits which get past the oil pick up strainer It is very fine bits after a fresh build I thinks Imo I can be wrong but will the fine bits sink to the bottom near the sump plug?

I've just got some falken ze914 205-50-15 and there pretty good The side walls are little softer than the previous ze912 I do have to admit I still broke traction a little in second gear@4k rpm in the wet They feel better than the ze912 and better than the Avon s 3rd set of tyres on the front in 13months lol -
When I built the old b18 I got some magnets off ebay 99p and stuck them around the oil filter

Pauls a good chap who maps there his done wonders with some cars I know of Since I moved its easyer to go to stealth for me now
-
That's what my mate did with my downpipe But did you have the actual downpipes off the a3? I'm looking in to getting one made cost couple hundred quid max with flexi in to single cat
-
It is quiet miles quieter than the 12v I do miss the 12v burbling roar lol Has anyone tried the standard mk5 r32 downpipes there different to the mk4 and seem to be closer to fit the corrado?? Scorpion make downpipes for the mk5 imo the tubes are bit on the larger side
-
Any pics of the short runner intake please As for the cats, I'm being led to believe that in an exhaust you want minimal back pressure with lot of velocity?? This is an awful vid of mine off iphone Scorpion vr6 exhaust with a single cat Air filter is on back above the gearbox away from manifold
-
I'm quite impressed listening to the sound of the dubpowers Still wonder if there are any power gains from the manifold? I'm looking in to a 6-3-1 but it's no good with the 24v management and space I've used the most of the 12v downpipe and cat and feel it's restrictions imo

The AUE engine has vvt only on the inlet cam The bde has vvt on both If your going to go through the hassle of doing the wiring your a lot better off getting the right loom and ECU specially for the later engines I'm guessing if you were to use the aue wiring+ecu on a bde engine your idle will be horrible as the exhaust cam will be full retard Plus imo coil on plug is the better choice than a single coil pack

Is the Rev limit on an obd2 standard ecu about 6500rpm Gauge showed 5700rpm in first and second Are they all bit slow ?
-
I've recently been checking long term fuel trim With the 12v it was on 0 Yesterday with 24v it was on -8.6 with 1600 miles coverd so went out looking for some PEA based injector cleaner Only one I got hold of was the bg44k which I'm sure still got that in I Reset the ecu will see how the fuel trims change to get my injectors out front end and inlet needs to come off Otherwise would get ultrasonic cleaning To Clean piston tops and combustion chamber spray water In the inlet controled obviously I use my water/meth kit

Where is hot golf based?

Been wondering if it's normal practice to check all sensors and engine health before a remap? I personally would make sure everything from the coolant temp sensor iat maf injectors and lambada were well within spec As if it gets mapped with whatever inaccurate reading from one of the sensors it may affect the quality of the map at a later point?? Just curious I have noted down live reading and check against them every so often just to keep on top of it Wonder how much difference each sensor out by say 10% could make

Nice bit of work I'm guessing with the drilling he balances it too? If he does one should send the clutch cover too as there normally not balanced at all Not trying to put anyone down but for reliability and put less strain on the bearings Might not make a huge difference but every little helps

Just to put I'd highly recommend this flywheel with some use of it now In using a standard clutch and and its not difficult to set off etc Never thrash it in first but second and third Rev round nicely
-
Yeah the engine at the moment is an AUE i will want to have vvt with the r32 head so will need an ecu to control it plus widebands From experience I know how adjusting cam timing can Change a car For some reason I feel there is so much to be gained from vvt But you need to have a good exhaust manifold for exhaust scavenging Plus if I go turbo I won't neeed to lower my static C/R (can change the dynamic C/R)
