  1. Has anyone got an aue head off the car? Need a little help with measurements of the inlet cam sprocket I have the new sensor phase wheel thing just need to see if it will close to fitting I seen the pictures think it's the only way I did attemp taking front end off but some other set backs put me off till it gets warmer
  2. This is my bodge used what we had from the 4mo downpipes didn't have any other pipe so used the extra flexi
  3. To help carriage will a small pallet be cheaper delivers to one place like stealth or something?
  4. I was not hearing the buzzing sound it normally makes and on the cheap scan tool it was not moving to help idle Might be a loose connection inside it?
  5. It's sorted its self out:shrug: Looking in to different options from something newer that's a direct replacement maybe slightly bigger
  6. Also depends if you have a good cold air feed It's ok getting a new sensor and sticking it near the filter only to see hot engine bay temps stock 12v round town my IAT were in the region of +50degrees c motorway would drop to around 32 in winter
  7. Think it might be a lot Easyer to cut and use the vr6 down pipe Or see if you can use the actual 3.2 down pipes? http://www.scorpionexhaust.co.uk/scorpion-exhausts-vw-golf-mk5-r32-de-cat-stainless-2687-p.asp They look close
  8. Well all that went to pot Got the oil filter cap and came with the bolt from tps Got the bit for the cam sensor phase thing £15 As I was about to drain the water the top plastic connector between rad hose thermostat housing and small pipe to header tank broke well the small pipe snapped off Luckily I had one off the mk4 with the hose took it as a sign and left it Now the throttle body cflunked
  9. Wow dubpower manifolds give a nice burble nice
  10. Hi after a ball ache of a weekend now I have a problem of the car not idling I narrowed it down to the throttle body not adjusting to stabilise idle It sounds like the motor in the body is not working I have had it apart and it was moving freely Besides a new replacement is thee a easy fix? Thank you
  11. I've cracked the oil filter housing cap thing £30 from TPS the hex bolt on the bottom £15!!! Think the old one will have to do Also ordered the magnet for the cam sprocket for the sensor So might have a fully working car But the thought of having the front end off Guess the water and g12 will be changed flushed for the 4th time in 2 months More importantly I can't see gaining any more torque with it working as it should Vinc said normally one would lose 20-30bhp iirc with a cam sensor fault R32 power on a standard AUE it can't happen
  12. First one sounds like it's going through a tunnel with the slight Ecco Good though
  13. Omg what a day Besides the jack dropping whilst I was doing oil change The oil filter cap cracking Think camber is going to have to wait until I got a new jack and axle stands Can't go to work, I'm not pedalling 17miles Tried some epoxy resin let it cure for 6 hours with no joy
  14. At moment I checked it with iphone lol between -0.5 -1 Don't know toe but it looks like got slight toe in I don't get tram lining I'm no racing driver far from it but from feel of it I have very sharp initial turn in then I get slight under steer mid way on sharpish bends over around 40mph Been busy but tomorrow I will attemp -1.5-2 camber Have you got a little toe out?
  15. Yes it is a bonus but not good enough as not sliding out my seat round bends yet These new falkens are pretty good in the frosty mornings we have had I might brave the cold and add a little neg camber today
  16. My car has got better handling, how? I'm not sure lol Well since a gone 24v I had no powersteering So finally I got the pipes replaced them last week with new fluid now the steering seems to feel so much lighter than before Also got alot less under steer too Differences being the AUE lump and falken tyres but I can't see the tyres making that much difference, Unless the 24v is lighter by enough to make a noticeable difference? Just curious if anyone Els has noticed anything like this The car does seem slightly higher up front too
  17. Not to jack but I'm in need of the plastic magnet thing off a 12v exhaust sprocket if there is one for sale
  18. Thanks for clearing that up Anyone used the vibra tec rear beam bushes?
  19. I read about this and how does it work? I've not had powersteering for a while now and noticed it felt a bit like the rear wheel steering on the prelude I had ages ago Got powersteering now finally I split a pipe Shan I swaped engine so not had powersteering since end of October Nearly 4k miles of hard work work and pain, now it feels so much lighter It's going to take some getting used to the lightness Now I'm not really feeling the rear like I did without the powersteering ???
  20. Exactly same as my near my old house lol Preferred the 12v induction though
  21. How about the inlet manifold blowing apart on the 24v??
