  2. Signs that you are addicted to your car: 1/whenever something wrong happens with your car you develop insomnia thinking wether you should sell it or fix it ,then the next day you fix it then you sleep happy and think how can I spend more money on my car now? . 2/when you spend half your pay check on your car and still refuse to get rid of it. 8)
  3. dont know if this makes sense but I copied it from the bentley book, both springs should pull to the same side,

    Compression test.

yes, but I 'd rather spend that money to teach myself something new about engines plus I'd have a cool gauge put in my garage
  10. I know that this is a job usualy done by a qualified technician but hey, by what I see most of those qualified technicians are worth s**t regarding working with corrado's  . I was browsing the net and found this do it yourself commression test. http://www.dsmgrrrl.com/FAQs/compression.htm can I apply this on my corrado g60 and what are the compression specifications for the g60?

    g60 timing ???

may be a stupid question?? :silly: but shouldn't the ECU retard the timing or advance it for a perfect timing?? I mean thats why the Knock sensor is there is'nt it???
  12. welcome to the forum oldman :) , yes thats true "vr6dom" the top one is the 0.3 bar the bottom one is the 1.4 bar(yellow wire) , I changed the 0.3bar on mine and all was ok after that :) goodluck.
  13. So there are 3 oil pressure sensors on the g60 engine ,there are two ontop of the oilcooler , and the 3rd is just before where the charger oil line comes out of the engine?? what is this for? and Does any one know what is the perfect oil pressure on g60 engines? and how to measure it? one last question  ?there is a connector on the tube that comes out from the oil breather to the boost return pipe.what is it for??
  14. What can cause the steering column to move slightly up and down? I have had this problem since I bought my rado but never made a big deal out of it ,but some recent coments from friends  are making me consider fixing it, the whole part from the steernig wheel to almost under the instument cluster moves slightly up and down , am I missing a bolt there or is there a bearing than can cause this?
  15. Awsome,I like it. great looking engine too, does the redbull give it any extra horsepower? what about the front indicators are'nt they required by law?
  16. do you have a cone air filter installed?
  17. I read some where on the net that only corrado's that were made in Mexico where without sunroofs.. dont know how true is that ?
  18. ok thanks,so there is only one thermoswitch afterall... but what is this sensor (only one wire attached to it). * .this is not my engine I just used this pic. for clarification.
  19. Hello. according to bentley book there are 2 thermoswitch's on the 1990 g60 engine ,but I can only find one, (the one on the radiator )where is the other one??? .is it that little sensor between the intake mani.and the ISV. which has only one wire attached to it. ? thanks.
  20. alright thanks, which vw shares the same clutch as the g60.
  21. Is it the same clutch , thanks
  22. finally, after about 6 month's of not driving my corrado(due to a blown charger) , I went ahead yesterday and fitted the g-ladder , It took me 2 days to fit the thing in there, but I finally did it .. lots of thanks to the Corrado forum, I could'nt have done it without you guys. :) .but I still have a question though , can I run my car immediatley now, I am afraid that the new ladder will not be lubed well, it is been sitting for about 4 months and lots of oil came out of it during that period. do I have to add oil to it before I run it ?and where to put that oil?should it be synthetic?...thanks.
  23. chrishill , I noticed that your fuel gauge dips upon acceleration is that normal in all corrado's because mine does the same..
  24. I would like to know the answer to this one too... are they from the manufacturer or from something grinding them from inside the charger
