I thing I did I terrible mistake. my g60 fuel pump used to stay on for a long time too, so I took it to a mechanic and he fixed it(or not) it used to stay on for about 3-4 minutes. now it just shut off when I turn the ignition off .I saw him do something in the fuse box took out a couple of relay's and replaced them. can someone tell me what he did? I can ask him but he is somewhat far from where I am. thanks.

I am still having problems, and to be honest I really dont know what or where to start..I still think it is the timing that is off (pinking, engine sounds rough). it usually starts weird in the morining, I have to crank it up for two or three times to get it started but after a while, like for about a 20 minute drive or so when I try and start it again It start with almost no crank the secound I push the start button it starts right up...is that related to any timing thing. Thank you.

i think it is the ignition timing I meant, I am also trying to get a comfortable sound out of my car too, when the timing is off It sounds like some american muscle car. engine pinking and loader than usual.

could an over/under stretched timing belt effect on the engine timing???

whenever I start the car in the morning it shokes for acouple of times then starts, with revs about 1300.(I have a push start button could this affect anything?)

yes sometime it stars pinking.. do you mean it is ok if it is up one degree?

This is the third time I Set the engine timinig,I dont know what is happening. every time I set it right(by a mechanic) , then after about less than a week it goes up by one degree :mad: what is the normal timing degree by the way? what is causing this to happen?? I read on some other thread on the forum that it could be a vacum leak from somewhere that is causing this to happen is it related to any sensor. please give me your opinion because I GIVE UP, :cry:

check the secound relay(secound one above fuse no 6) and also check if there is a lose ground connection beside the relay panel other than that it is either your sunroof motor is fried or the sunroof switch is bad....

Does anyone know the specs for the 2000 Golf gti 1.8t I am intrested in the Horsepower ,I have checked over the internet but they all vary from 150 bhp to 190 some even say 210 bhp, which one is true? :roll: thanks.

I think the sunroof is not connected to any relay check fuse no 4. I hope this helps.

Has anyone fit a voltage stabilize to his corrado ,does it really give you all of the following? the thing is I found this MK4 2L for a relatively low price and it has only done 41k ,I was considering a MK4 vr6 or a r32 maybe but this car came out of nowhere and took my attention I will be getting it if it is not too hard of a job to fit a turbo in it. as for what kev is saying about it"boomy gutless and poor handling" well that kinda threw me back if it is true. isn't it the same chassis as the vr and the 1.8t. lets say I got this car for free, is it worth working on it(upgrading it) or should I continue stuffing my piggybank for a MK4 VR6. probably for next year.

now that I have saved some money to get a new car,I am stuck between two cars on which one should I get? golf 4 VR6, or golf 4 2.0L , of course you will say the vr6 but there is a huge price difference between them. about 4000$, I am affraid that if I get the 2L I would be disappointed with it's power(so used to the corrado that I would not settle for less or at least the same power) so here's what I am thinking get the 2L and fit a turbo on it, it should give me at least 200Bhp, right? what do you guys recommend. :roll:

I found this on discountpartcenter.. http://www.discountpartcenter.com Click on "wheels". click on "wheels that fit my vehicle". enter corrado and the year . and choose any of rims you like. you dont have to buy them just see how the corrado will look in different style rims. PS. it took me ages to load the last page, but it is well worth it :) . I found the BBS RX to be the best on a corrado, what do you think :) .

So you say it is not build for fast driving, I dont want to believe that but this is not the first time I hear this.I hear it has an awful bodyroll ,and something about it's VDC - Vehicle Dynamic Control which interupts driving the car as you wish, but isn't it similar system that porsche has in it's cars and it is supposed to make the car perfect on hard cornering. I think the best way to settle this is have topgear compare the cars :) .

it seems the alfa romeo is not very popular, and I wonder why it has got a great engine /looks and performance 250 BHP stock if I am not wrong?.
