haha, popped down to pub today, parked rado next to mate joe's clio 172 cup that he'd spent the morning cleaning, (haven't cleaned the rado for about a week.) had three seperate incidents of friends coming over to join us and saying, "Corrado's looking really nice mate"... great, pissed off look on Joes face...!

Been looking around on web and now certain its a storm... have to have a very good look underneath i think.... Quote from VW Vortex on mk1 sciroccos: "If they are exposed to moisture they will rust like a mofo."
-
Noticed a Mk1 Scirocco rotting away near me and went and had a proper look today, although the owner wasnt in, I put a note through their door... Think I might have found a mk1 Scirocco Storm, the badges are missing from the rear but its in a metallic brown with tan leather interior and a plastic sort of splitter on the front. the rust looks like it might have gotten quite a hold, but if the chassis is sound looking might try and buy it with view to restoring... Was looking for more info i.e. History of them, are they rare (consider a Mk1 sicrocco rare anyway tbh) What they are worth, where to look to know whether the rust has eaten too far, what they are like for spares etc. etc.. any Rocco bods out there???? :)

anyone else have a gripe with kids in towns, especially in areas with speedhumps, just crossing the road without looking out from under their hoods, and making traffic stop, or maybe they are just really hard in my town.... and they wonder why teenagers are statistically most likely to get runover....

think a lot of what we hate will be summed up here... http://www.howmotorwayswork.co.uk/ might get a sign with that link on to hold up to those who love the middle lane....

BA****DS... may need to add a 'How to electrify the body of your car' in the wiki at this rate.... -
G40's are sweet, rapid and underated IMO... I really was set on getting one a few years back but ended upsaving dough and going for a mk2 golf gti... I remember reading lots about them having very poor brakes (same as all polo's of the time i think)... oh and supercharger wasn't down as the most reliable, but all G-laders are the same, just get it serviced, should be cool....

Who's got £5000 to get their car washed....? http://www.wimp.com/expensivecar/

A friend at work is looking for a new car, got £12K absolute max to spend and was hoping on a mk4 r32 if the prices came down on release of the mk5, but the mk4 seems to have clung on to an £18K price tag on good mileage... thought id post up here for him, see what you guys would get as an alternative... main requirements are: pretty rapid, room in the boot for a large dog, and a pretty low mileage for the money... ideas please! cheers!
