VERY VERY NSFW - Shocking Images of VW Fox Accident
Talc replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
sobering images.... although not many cars are going to cope in a head on with a lorry, the Fox has a 4 star NCAP rating... A Friends Mum just bought a Fox, don't think I will forward this on to him... :? -
remember seeing a thread on good/bad vw dealers but cant remember which forum that was.. google hasn't found it for me either.. Usually go to whites in camberley, been pretty helpful, unless its saturday and they are about to close, but sort of to be expected in a way... dealership in reading been average for me, had a massive mixup with parts a while back when I had a mk2 golf which took about 3 visits to sort out, car being in pieces on the drive for a few days wasn't ideal, don't know their name, but its the one near the Madejski stadium

Lamin-x front lights pic request for Car-Care-Supplies.com
Talc replied to Riley's topic in General Car Chat
If you need photo evidence of why to buy, I could supply a pic with both indicators and fogs cracked. :( -
I've got a year working visa for Canada and will be going in April.. Don't want to sell the Corrado because A im way too attached to the thing at the moment and B i'll only spend the money, when i don't think I need to... Also its a LHD, so if I settle there, which I doubt right now, I could get it shipped out there... Got two options: leave it in garage at my parents house for a year, or trust in a friend and let him keep it under cover on his drive in the week and drive (mainly to his lockup in essex to work on a camper, proving love of vws?!) at the weekends... Obviously the store in folks garage option is preferable but will keeping the car under cover do that much to it rust and engine wise? always thought it wasn't great to leave cars and not drive them... the main thing I would like to know is what would have to be done to it if it was left in a garage for that time? i.e brake pads out, disconnect battery etc. i assume...

biggest grip on mine is balljoints that are made of cheese, pulled to the left when I bought it, replaced balljoints from gsf and this was fixed, one year down the line the problem has started to come back....

Sweet, you have the best colour the Corrado came in... and a nice dub history too... the 'thing' (trekker) looks awesome... -
Hehe, sweet, that cab looks mint.... should have had a quick check on condition of your interior before you sold the C, ;) could have swapped my driver seat for your passenger... ah well....
-
i'm not 100% convinced... On the front, the bottom of the front grille looks a little different, but thats all.. the mirrors are a little different, different wheels.. and from the pics im not sure the spolier isn't there, just the fluro lighting hiding it??? could it be just one of the later prototypes made before the release thats on show... still, intriguing...

mental, love it... quite like speedlines on Lupo...

what's coconuts got to do with anything?? apparently they migrate.. Thats fricking dirty, makes you want to start etching the reg or something into every component on the car when this happens...
-
I take it the note states that you will be getting a quote for repairs and forwarding these onto them?? might make them a little more careful.
