    wheres the horn?!

This is getting stupid, Got the MOT next week, so went through to check that everything worked: horn doesn't work, checked all of the fuses, pulled steering wheel apart and cleaned the points, checked cables connected. Now, i'm trying to find the actual horn unit, its not behind the grill, not behind the fog lights, not behind the dirt covers in the wheel arches, not anywhere apparent in the engine bay... LHD 92 vr6... Help. :confused4:
  2. just caught up with it myself, really funny episode, couldn't see the rado in the pile on the backwards car jump section though. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/item/b00cbmbl.shtml?src=ip_mp
  3. I was thinking of asking £4k + for my LHD VR6, think you should easily get around that for yours...
  4. Amazing site. This Steam car one is hilarious: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/video_player.shtml?vid=188720 The advert before each video is so pathetic, it's annoying.

  7. Excellent, can't wait, been watching way too many repeats on sky lately... This thread need some specualtion of the ensuing madness that will be going on... Watched the whole of the last season on the BBC website when I was working in Canada last year, should be the same for the US. One of these will get you there: http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/ or this one http://www.bbcamerica.com/
  8. yeah, rado is def sleeping lots these days, going out in the evening is expensive too, i swear the cab companies add a quid to the price for every 5p extra at the pumps, should make cycling home legal, and as long as everyones doing it, it will be much safer than drinking and driving too.. maybe... seriously though, been cycling loads, weathers perfect and it beats sitting in traffic on a sunny day
  9. I used to work in a company that had a workshop, in that workshop was a guy of irish descent who lived in a static mobile home... guess what we called him... admittedly didn't start until he started calling himself that, but he was never offended by it.... In fact, someone locally has the number plate: P1 KEY Mad what gets blown out of proportion these days, I mean he hardly meant any offence by it... I blame the daily mail.
  10. Scum, fecking hate these people, they must really enjoy being a C**t... Hopefully what goes around comes around... Guessing you have something by the name of T-cut or similar there? Had my golf keyed in London, T-cut cleaned most of it up...

  13. And another one for the great Andy http://www.trimwizard.co.uk... Pulled out two?! half functioning alarms from my car and installed a fresh and easy to use Cobra, can't fault the guy in any way, took his time with it all, cleaned up some wiring that wasn't even alarm related and stayed on to make sure it was all working exactly the way I wanted it to... :salute:
  14. Cheers, been driving LHD for two years now, had a hire car for a couple of days last week, so many near misses on the first day, and occasionally hitting the door card to change gear too...?! it's converted me.! oh, and scratch my initial new wheels and stuff comments, the car is staying the way it is....
  15. Liked having a second car for leaving in car parks all day and sitting in traffic in, otherwise, C please... Did have a fiat panda for a while as it was £50 with 6 months mot, brilliant little car, actually amusing to drive and was nice to have something i didn't give two shits about. Also try buzzing about town in an 850cc panda for a day and then getting in a vr6 after, the C felt like a rocketship... but now i just cycle to work/pub and use the rado all other times....
  16. hehe awesome.. Found the Canadians just as bad, they didn't know whht to do, had people stop on the few roundabouts there to let me go if it was busy... absolute carnage, I see why theres so many traffic lights and 4 way stops over there now...
  17. Lady moved here from Germany and brought it with her... few years down the line I got a clean Corrado a little cheaper than it should have been...
  18. Linky for the lazy (needs Flash, a ah...Savior of the Universe) http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/volkswagen-world/heritage/timeline It's an anti Karmann Conspiracy, yet the rocco's there?! looks pretty vague to me....
  19. Corradodude, you confuzzled me, checked with my brother, the tyres are at about 40 psi on mine, I got the info from somewhere to do that, think it was a write up I found through google.... Also went to shoe shop in town and asked for a load of those little bags of stuff that keep moisture out, got a couple of big bags from them and left them on the mats...

  21. Mine is currently in the Garage at my Folks house while im in Canada: took the battery out of car and stored on an old mat (concrete kills batteries) let some air out of the tyres, flushed and replaced the coolant, did the same with the oil, put cotton cloth in exhaust and in intake, left the handbrake off and out of gear and chocked a wheel. Put cardboard under the car for some insualtion and covered with a tyvek car cover... Going to hopefully get away with repalcing the oil and charging the battery on my return. :?

    Roof Bars

Hmmm, wondering if the Thule roof bars for 'Yar'IS will fit then... quality will be better on the thule racks right? the Thule bike carriers for the roof look a lot better than the auto-maxi ones....
