  1. Oh Darren, can you supply an ally co pot fitting to weld into a boost pipe? if so how much m8? :) Neil.
  2. Cool, would be good to know how well they work? I like the quality of it,nice depth.Should be a decent compromise size wise as far as pressure drop too? And i had to go for one because its black 8) Not sure about the fitting, its not just as wide as the radiater but im fitting it in an unconventional and silly, and hard work place...if all goes to plan.  Neil.
  3. Mmmmm,interesting... So its more a case of capping the power loss in hot weather? Must say it makes a hell of a difference on the rado imo,hot weather = slow as shit. :( Anyone using a sierra cosworth 4x4 intercooler? Neil. :)

    Cleaning help!

Pretty much Trigger 8) Its always best to stick with a polish for a while before using a wax.And it sounds like you have been. :) This will give you a decently prepped finish for the wax. Otherwise if you keep polish/wax/polish/wax you will just be working the products against each other. But just as importantly, wash the vehicle as carefully as you can inbetween.Always hosing it down first and use the best implements you can. Neil. :)
  5. Is there an average power increase when running a front mount intercooler? i know it will probably vary depending whats used but is there an average number? Just that im gonna be putting hella work into fitting one  Neil.
  6. Free sticker hidden on the site here. Its hidden in a picture and you will know if you find it.good luck! :D Edit:Sticker found! 8) Neil.
  7. A microfibre towel would be ideal for drying off. Much better than a leather which drags on the paint and tend to break up after a good amount of use. Same idea, waft over the whole vehicle to remove the main part of water, keep wringing out as you go. And then with a final wipe you can have a totally streak free finish, and a good quality microfibre is garenteed not to scratch your paint. If you aren't too fussed about 'bringing the paint up' and are just looking for quick and easy wash/drying,then its possibly worth using a carnauba wax on it. Streaking would't be as much of a problem, and would make drying easier.Added benefit of a lasting and protected shine too. Neil. :)
  8. Aye,i did wonder about that :!: Spare bumper it is then, cheers guys :) Mmmm, need a bit more cash now to get on with it!
  9. Ahhh, sound ! 8) Ill just have to knock about with a red early bumper then  Happy birthday btw Bill? :) Neil.
  10. Cheers guys...it needs to be off while i modify it for something.I use the car for work every day knocking about around town. In fact i do have an early red bumper, but the indicaters and fogs wouldn't fit up would they? Cheers,Neil.
  11. Guys, would i be ok driving around for a while without the front bumper? Obviously ill have to secure/tie wrap the indicaters up somewhere....but any legal issues? Should be ok as long as theres no sharp edges i think? Neil.
  12. Bump,someone must know!
  13. Best bet is to give it a few goes with the scratch-x to get the best from it 8) and to also get the best from each product you use afterwards. If the synthetic waxes arent just up to the job for you guys, try a canauba paste wax.The finish will last longer and therefor be protected for longer. Neil. :)
  14. Cool,no probs 8) Can anyone give a definate on the front panel? Cheers,Neil.
  15. Cheers m8. The early grills only have two tabs so i thought the later panels had five to take either late/early grills? Could just do with knowing before i sell it... ps:did you test the glass microfibre? 8) Neil.
  16. Camshaft oil seal is behind the cam pully. Wipe around the area as much as you can and after driving just check if there is a spray of oil coming from behind the pully, and in around the plastic cover. Neil.
  17. Does a front panel with 5 holes for the grill at the bottom mean its a late one? Neil. :)
  18. Bump for the above. And are pipes available with beaded ends? Neil.
  19. It can be a bit confusing m8 :) The porsche design 90's are et52.5,so if you use a 25mm spacer you have an et of 27.5. the et is the distance from the mounting face of the wheel (inside) to the center of the whole wheels width. Neil. :)
  20. Ahh cool,so the little co pot bit is available seperately? Any prices or pics guys? Cheers,Neil. :D
  21. I actually prefer a motor that is self serviced :) Shows that the owner at least has an interest in maintaining the car. I always keep every single receipt and write the cost/date etc on them then stick them on the pile in order of date. :) I like to think that ill do a better job than someone else who dosn't care for the car as much as me. Neil.
  22. Alright guys :) When upgrading intercoolers/pipework and what not, what pipes are available for the one which houses the co pot? Alloy? diffarent shapes? Pics would be awesome if anyone has any to post up. Cheers,Neil.
  23. No probs m8,id like to say for definate that you would be ok... I suppose we are only talking a few mm difference clearance wise from a late (wide arch) g60 to a vr6...so i would guess you would 'just' be ok if on 195/45's. They arent my old adapters are they? i had some 25mm ones that were machined down to 22mm. You could always have these 22mm ones machined down a couple of mm or maybe even slightly more.4mm maybe? Sorry i cant say for definate m8 :( Neil.
  24. You will need 20mm or smaller if you can as bluejoe says :) If the vr et is 42...then it works as follows. My G60 is et35. 8x16's all round with 25mm adapters all round. So final et is 27. Thats 8mm stuck further out of the arches over standard wheel width and et setup. There is no catching at all with 195/45's all round. So assuming vr is et42. using 8x16's all round with 20mm adapters all round. So final et would be 32. Thats 10mm stuck further out of the arches over standard wheel width and et setup. Thats 2mm difference from G60 to vr6. :) Neil.
