i thought that turning the dizzy without doing the above meant that it corrected itself back to what it was set at? these things are just too complicated for me :!:

thanks ian,ill try my best to sort it before hand but i just dont think i will. im really getting sick of revving 3 times/disconnect bts/rev 3 times/adjust dizzy a bit/rev 3 times/connect bts/test drive-and still not right. :(

its still not right guys :( i tried a dizzy that henny sent me thanks m8,but it just wouldnt run right,i marked the old one up etc and made sure the rotor was pointing in the same direction. i did drive it and it was like there was no charger :? and the popping/backfiring was happening. put the old dizzy back in,and now when i put my foot down it sounds like a machine gun,like a drrrrrrrrrrrrrr and dosnt go anywhere :( i dont have a timing light to hand right now,but if it was slightly out it wouldnt make it drive like it is anyway. can anyone look at it for me? i just feel like im never gonna solve the problem :( neil.

theres a guy who does the adapters 5x100-5x130 on edition 38,dont know his username off hand though sorry m8 :( id try go for the ones with steel helicoils too,from experience they just feel a lot more 'sure' neil.

aye,im feeling a bit pi$$ed off,eased by a friend called budweiser :lol: as far as the fog switch m8,im just thinking the fogs only work with the lights on,so the headlight switch must feed the fog switch,and then>fuse>fogs... along those lines anyway i think :?:

yep,normally? got the fuse positions on that bit that you remove. im guessing a little here but,i think if your fog switch isnt lighting up then its your headlight switch thats dodgy. i think(again :roll: ) that the fuse is for the power from the fog switch to the fogs,worth checking the fuse anyway i suppose.

can you get a good pic of each side m8? but id be checking the et of your wheels first,and then get the camber etc checked out as the guys say. if you park on a good/flat surface a spirit level could give you a good idea :lol: or you should be able to tell just by looking. mines never caught either.

i called that company up some time ago,but the guy just confused me. pretty sure he gave me a diffarent number to whats listed,i remember saying 'but on your site it says,blah,blah' so i dont know what to believe tbh? id ring vw if i hadnt had the phone cut off :mad: cheers,neil.

mine was jabba stage 2'd,lasted 11k miles before the oil seals springs decided to float about inside :roll: still made 14psi on a 70mm pully though. which is strange actually... with the charger now having been full blended with a 68mm pully,it still makes the same 14 psi. all according to the mfa.

cheers ian, well ill be calling back tommorow,stupidly i only noted the pressures from each switch and he said he needed the vw numbers. popped em out and wrote them down,hard to make out though,i think they are... 0569 190 81c - 2b :? 0689 190 81 1109 195 63
