Hi Mark, can you confirm it's definitely a late one (Raised circular ring around key hole)? If so then £22 quid posted sounds fine to me. :bonk::thumbleft: Paypal gift? Neil.
-
As title, need a Late Style Drivers side door handle for the Corrado. I bloody knew it was gonna break:camp: Minter the better please. Neil.
-
Too kind mate, thanks!:thumbleft: Fitted some new stainless screws and speed clips in the fog light/indicator housings. And better pics of the Vw stickers on the center caps.
-
Just fitted some new speed nuts and stainless screws in the fog light housings.

Have to agree about the 308! Mostly I tend to get compliments when I'm out and about (Although I'm sick of hearing 'nice Scirocco' lol) but I get the same as far as people driving on my bumper too, Never had a car where people follow so closely for whatever reason. Really weird! People must look at it and think, old 90's sports car, supercharged badge, get ya foot down or sommet?
-
Well, I thought I'd go for some 'Vw' center cap stickers rather than the 'Borbet' stickers. Look really good in person, could only manage crap pics though as I fitted in between work.
-
Feel the same way myself.

Do you have a 12v test light? If so I'd start looking for power in the door at the loom plug (While operating switches) to see if you are getting a voltage for both up and down at the plug. If you are, then the regulator may be knackered/jammed/stuck. If not, then time to work your way back to the control module and check for output voltages there, same idea when up/down operated from the switches. Also, just worth a try...Just pop out the switch in the passenger door, unplug it, and then try operating the window again from the drivers door.

PTFE tape on the lower section threads/body? I always use LM Grease on other parts, plenty slapped on. My konigsports look like near new after 3 years. Just wipe all the grease off to reveal original finish.

Not heard back yet, but I will update as soon as she does, hopefully I've got the right wife! Hi mate, I didn't but apparently there are a couple of Corrado's that look similar to mine around the north west, one very local to me in Padiham/Lancs that I've actually seen just the once! and I've supposedly been around Preston a lot too lol.
-
Well we make a real pair of stalkers as I think I may have just tweeted his wife! lol! Cheers mate, the 192 link seems to be him! so I'll check the others out. Would love to try and find out any info about the first owner, and possibly gain any paperwork if it still exists, you never know I suppose. geeky I know but the cars got fantastic history with it, just missing the details of first owner. PS: I'll remove surname from posts now just for security reasons etc.:thumbleft:
-
That may be a good call mate:thumbleft: Would be really interesting to find out! I'm only the third owner, but potentially only the second really which would be cool. Trying to remember any details but my memory is crap! I've searched for the original advert and pm's between me and Dyfrig on here but it's all gone now sadly.
-
Holy 7 year post Resurrection! Well I'm still wondering if Dyfrig still has an account on here? I've been going through the history of the car, and there's something I'd like to try and find out! Dyfrig bought the car on 12/9/95 according to the V5! But! all the receipts I have before that date actually have his name/address on!? So did he actually own the car from new? How can I find out this info?
-
When I've seen that done it always amazes me how good it looks for such a subtle thing.
-
I'm sick of the sight of the bloody stuff lol. Only kidding, glad you are happy with it, good job. :thumbleft:
-
Have always used 215/40's on 9x16's, it's the recommended minimum width by the Germans apparently. Although I'd actually go wider on the tyre if I could! Bit of personal preference really and also depends how low you are.
-
Absolutely superb, I'm really pleased with it:cheers: I pretty much stand by my first thoughts on it really: The rebound of the suspension feels just like the konigsports did when they were new, the damping feels slightly on the softer side than the konigsports were. Basically when I saw somebody once type "Riding on air is like riding on pillows from God" Well, I'd agree with that! Very nice! As above, and now I've thrown it about a bit more, it handles really, really well. Pleasantly surprised!
-
You've done bloody well if you Lamin-X'd those btw mate!:thumbleft: Nicely done, always fancied a set myself. I deleted the rear wiper pretty much when first bought, plan on a few other bits in time.
-
Just gone straight through MOT! :-)
-
Aye, The more common/usual et15 9x16's run extremely close when you have new pads fitted. Easiest Corrado's for fitting 9's all round on are late style 8v/16v or G60's, wider arches but narrow track :thumbleft: Tyre choice and ride height are critical too. Edit: There's a guide and a Calculator for offsets here btw > http://www.volksdevil.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=275

Few Corrado bits - CHEAP :-) All Brand New
Riley replied to polo_corrado_rims's topic in Parts for Sale
Hi mate, received the bits thanks. But there are two of the goodridge brake hoses missing! It's supposed to be a six line kit as shown: http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=16366 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corrado-Goodridge-Braided-Brake-Hoses-Aug-1991-G9-2-SVW1020-6P-6-Line-Kit-VW-/110749816331 http://www.e-parts.co.uk/product.asp?productid=055979 But only four hoses in the box. :-( -
There isn't actually a service schedule from Vw on the chargers but as above, people seem to have them done around 30k on a 68mm pulley. As for the return pipe, yep, pop that back on to go back to standard although it's not really there to lube the charger, all this lubing lark is a load of crap. The only time to lube/grease them up is when rebuilding to bed in the apex seals and whatnot. The return pipe is just to stop fumes going into the atmosphere. There are oil seals in the charger, and where there are oil seals or oil mist or heavy breathing you tend to find a method of re circulation to stop fumes entering the atmosphere. I don't know who came up with the whole lubing idea but suspect it was one of the rebuild company's.
-
No worries... I managed a couple shots of the boot build from inside today. Still to tidy gauge wiring (Red box in pic) and also power etc. Nice easy access to everything though by either folding both seats or just one at each side.
-
Enough said. Great for that kind of money!

Who's your friend?! They look like a good finish:thumbleft:
