    Yep, thats the relay 99.9% of the time. Position 8 on fuseboard if g60/valver.Bottom row,second along... Neil.

Cheers Stu, its a little consolation i suppose :sad: I started writing an ebay advert for it a couple days ago...Can't bring myself to sell it just purely after the amount of rediculous time ive put into it,and the very little money i have. I hate the frigging thing, and i can't sell it :cuckoo: If i sell the bmw and this thing id be debt free too, the v.a.g bug is strong :cuckoo:
  6. Id be checking all the earths, large one from rear of battery to gearbox, and a couple of small brown coloured ones to the side of the cylinder head... Neil. :)

  8. Ive just tried setting the cam as people suggested, whether its right or wrong or not...f*ck knows. It didn't stop the problem anyway. I f*cking give up I feel physically ill, shaking, and tired. I feel like holding the throttle to the floor and just blowing the bas8ard to bits. Can a moderator lock this please as its just never gonna get anywhere, cheers for the help.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole... :confused4: I don't see any gains from it what so ever with having larger inlets/outlets...its the metal just before and after these that causes the restriction in flow as suggested.If those parts matched the new parts welded on then you would see some sort of difference. It looks like the front has had a skim of filler then sanded to me ready for painting maybe? Neil.

  12. Ive painted the inlet manifold, and thought i may as well refit my ported/polished/venturi'd throttle body and paint that too. Its all back up and running now, just need to stick the ignition timing back to 6deg btdc and do some serious minting back up ready for v-a-g 2008 :shock:
  13. Ok, I built it back up,inlet manifold,and t-body with new gaskets. ive done the below test. Are we onto something here? There are two video's of the fuel rail connector voltage as my camera batteries died.
  14. Really? :( I thought that plenty of people with similar spec to mine were running the stage 5? (its a 5.5 actually iirc) Just a note also, i have tried my old jabbasport chip (now sold), a standard chip (now sold), and another stage 5.5 (now sold) .And the problem was still there. I also swapped my ecu for my mates which runs fine. Edit:Ive printed off that little test on the last page, i shall try it as soon as ive got it built back up. Neil.
  15. Yanards, I guess i could do the above by pulling the sleeving off the ecu plug and leaving it plugged in? Ive had it off before while checking stuff anyway...And the guys who i was friendly with at vw have moved to blackburn :( The reason i went for the sns stage 5 was because it seemed to be what everyone else was going for at the time, i did pop some posts up with my spec and people said it would be fine as long as i gave my spec to sns...which i did (both times they sent me a chip) Appreciate you digging that info out mate, just about to go to vw and pick up the gaskets. Tbh Manny, i don't know if i wanna mess with the cam timing again...Nobody anywhere has the definitive answer on it :? :bad-words: So im just gonna build it back up and put the ignition timing back to 6deg instead of the 8deg i tried with no joy...If i can be arsed. Fu*king p|ssed off with it :bad-words: Now ive been trying to sort this again, i can't even be arsed driving it to v.a.g 2008, its just gonna p|ss me off. What is causing this problem? ffs
  17. Forgot to add, i tried all the below today...I don't understand half of it though, there's only 25 pins at the ecu and it blabbs on about numbers above 25 :? Anyway all checked out fine.The readings that should all be below 1.5ohms, are all at around o.3/0.4ohms.
