I can't comment on the sunroof bit as i only had the back half of my headlining out :) Edit:In fact when i broke a corrado, i took it out fully but can't remember the sunroof bit  But watch the 'flaps' that slide into the roof frame, they make it easier to hold the headlining up while you get the trim back on. Also maybe an idea to clean it while its out? 8) Neil.

G60 converted mk2 undergoing a transformation :) A good un to read/follow 8) I just need to give him a b0ll0cking for sneaking a pic of me on page 8 and 12! Neil.

Very confusing for me  Can i not find the red/white lambda heater wire then? I can possibly borrow a bentley off a mate if he has it back off someone else... Cheers mate. :)
-
Hey thanks mate :D Check out CorradoG60.co.uk for a rundown of it since day 1. Its only recently come off the road, but due to the council sticking some rediculous speed bumps all around the house...The corrado was getting damaged, hence its off the road until i move house or find somewhere closer to keep it  Cheers mate,Neil. :D
-
Aye  I really can't believe ive stuck with it Just can't explain how much its battered my head! Late nights/early mornings messing, wiring diagrams, testing, replacing, timing, timing, timing  God i feel ill just thinking about it  Ive added a guestbook to the site :D Neil.

Ahh cheers mate, ive found a diagram that shows it (red/white) running to fuel pump...Just struggling to understand how a problem with this wire would cause the problem. :? My heads on a few other things at the mo so i can't get stuck in 100% into the problem. Please keep the thread going though, i appreciate the help massively. :) Do you think i should find/check out this red/white heater wire that leads to fuel pump? Neil.

CorradoG60.co.uk has been updated, check it out. Covering the air ride, engine, exterior and interior along with pictures in chronological order of my Volkswagen Corrado G60 Hope you like. Neil.

Ok,,,according to this there is no lambda heater wiring running to or from the ecu? :?
-
Oh aye...i guess there could still be a problem with the lambda heater wiring, maybe shorting or something? I can definately rule out the signal wire anyway, as i snipped it right at the ecu with no change to the problem. And it does fluctuate nicely between 0-1 volts as soon as its up to temp. Don't worry, i soldered the signal wire back and its good as new.Not something i wanted to do like (snipping it), but its ruled out a problem with it i suppose. I think i will check for 12v on the probe heater wire at the ecu next...Is it pin 25? think it is... Thanks again,Neil. :)
-
Cheers mate... Had a think about it and, i think its gonna be pointless double checking, as the problem is still there if i unplug the lambda probe. I know of a few g60's that run perfectly fine without them plugged in too. Neil.

Cheers guys :) I have checked the earth to lambda, and it was mint...but i haven't run one direct from the battery to rule it out, so i will try that 8) Pretty sure i checked the voltage of lambda heater wire maybe a year or so ago  But i shall also doble check that too. 8) The bottom of Robs post confuses me a bit  is the fuse box labeled G1 pin 8 etc? Cheers again. Neil.

It does it either way mate :( ------------------------------------- P|ssed off :( Been waiting for 4 90degree silicone elbows with 150mm leg length, they turned up as 100mm leg length and the pillock on ebay has been propper hard work, still waiting for them :( So i got bored of waiting and bought another head unit the exact same as i already have  I got it for a whole £28 quid delivered! I love these sony head units... The one already in there cost me £400 quid! which is in the glovebox as earlier in the thread. Ill hopefully update soon as to why i bought another... Neil.

That looks a hell of a lot better than i thought it would...Looks tough man. 8) Neil.

Aye,i never actually leave it on stands, i have a big industrial jack which holds it and the stands go under there a mm or two from touching the body of the car :) Its the standard cam mate :) The inlet does tend to get hot, and i have tried my mates injectors with no change...And the sticky lifter/valve was an idea hence the head came off and everything replaced/reseated...again with no joy :( But then they have to be ruled out as holding the WOT switch closed totally cures it...Really thought i was getting somwhere when i found that holding the WOT switch irradicated the problem, but im stuck again now :( Cheers,Neil.

He may be able to take the job on for ya 8) But at the least he should be able to give ya an idea on price 8) Neil.

Cheers mate :) Thought so, but best to double check these corrado type things

I like steak pies from oddie's :D I managed to change it easily enough mate...Jack car up at front right, shove a stand under sill. Get under there with the spanner and bob is bills best friend. :D I know they can tend to be very tight sometimes, so using something like the syuff that frost sell which you spray on may help (forgot name of it) Neil. ps:How much voltage should there be at the lambda heater wire and when?

Give my good friend Sean a shout on Volksdevil.com 8) Click - Username = iwannavr Neil.

i'm pretty sure it comes direct from the ECU .. i'll d'ble check 2nite. Any update on that? Neil. :)
-
Ive forgotten where im at with this! Nobody anymore idea's? :( Just please, please don't suggest sommet ive already tried...I will pull my hair out  Just for potatonet, the problem is there whether the lambda is plugged in or not :)
-
Yep,already changed for a new genuine bosch one...Plus when its unplugged the problem is still there. The immobiliser is a toad one iirc... Got some new 90d silicone hoses today, but the knocker has sent the wrong leg lengths :(

Recommend me a mutlimeter for automotive use
Riley replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in General Car Chat
Ive got a gunson one available from halfords. Handy for small voltages right up to 500v stuff iirc, also has a handy little temperature sensor 8) and it obviously checks continuity etc. £15 quid i think it was. Neil. -
Not from experience using these two specific boxes im afraid mate... I have driven the vr6's and ive used the 4t dieseal box in a mk1 16v and that had suuuuuper long ratio's. Im just kind of (not guessing) but throwing my 2 penneth in i guess  Looking at your short torque spread i just don't think the long gearing would be getting fully utilised? Being a turbo, and having the torque it has, it won't have a big problem pulling through the gears but once the torque drops off you would be wanting the gear to be dropping off too or shortly after ideally. Thats how i understand it anyway  Neil.

Yeah, priority to Mark Jim :D No worries. Cheers,Neil.

Jim! :D Id love to take one of the bottom spring seats off ya assuming they are ok? and if there is one going spare? :D Edit:And also assuming the front collars will fit the rear? cant remember? Unfortunately the same happened to me whilst backing the car into my unit :( What im concerned about is how dangerous it is! I dread to think what could happen if the remaining collar fell off while driving the car! Its because of dissimilar metal corrosion and idealy they should be stainless but it comes down to cost... Mine... Neil.
