  1. Indicaters  Jim,Im in debt up to my eyeballs until i sell the house anyway...Wanted something that still had a bit of street cred but didn't cost the earth, and i didn't really come up with anything else where you get so much car for the money 8) Plus 'I WILL NOT MODIFY' Must keep telling myself that  BigTartanJudge, It hasn't got the alusil block, but there is no blue smoke after idling for a while,or when giving it some stick...And the money i paid for it (after haggling about the nickasil),well it was worth a chance...it has full bmwsh too which is a little plus point i guess. Cracking motors as you say. 8) ps:How did you know that from the reg? Its first few services were at a dealer up there...John Clark - Aberdeen :) Cheers guys,Neil.
  2. Featured on Volksdevil.com after being voted Motor of the month December. Congrats m8. Neil. :D

    d90's....

Neil? Hiw did you do thos centres in black? Hammerite or was a proper primed, uncercoated and glossed finish? They do look very nice and that's what i'm looking to do with my speedies soon. jUST HAMMERITE SMOOTH AND NOTHING ELSE M8 :) Sorry caps lock...Im not a fan of laquer, hate the stuff. And you only need primer (etch primer) if you take them back to alloy. Neil. :)
  5. Some pics of my creations using hammerite :D Ive always wanted some black centered borbet a's...so i painted some brand new ones  I think most deep dish wheels really suit the low slung coupe shape of the corrado. 8)

    9" Rims

Im pretty sure you need coilovers...as on standard shocks/springs,the wheels will catch them? Most coilies are 2 1/4" so no catching issues...just the outer face/wheel arch to think about. Neil.
  7. I created mine by buying some brand new wheels and then painting them with hammerite  Neil.
  8. Its not a bad job really... Single most time consuming thing is the carpet id say, closely followed by the dash.Or the other way round depending how you do it. Good time to tidy up the dash wiring, and possibly replace the bee sting aerial while you have the headlining out. 9which is held in by the surrounding plastics, and clipped into thew roof. Neil.
  9. Cheers m8... Which 'r' is it you are reffering to? as both of the chassis type numbers? have an 'r' in there...unless im being numb  Cheers,Neil.

  12. I like this one at the moment because the other side has black center caps so it confuses people

    d90's....

Pics of the black/polished ones i used to have Andy. :)
  14. I have a 92 (late) G60 and im unsure on which of the 2 posible part numbers for a new sensor i would need? Do the latter letter/numbers correspond to chassis number? and are they sided,dont think they are? 191 927 807d - > 50-r-003-690 1h0 927 807a - 50-r-003-691 > Cheers,Neil.

    headlights

Sometimes the filaments in the bulbs can break and touch where they shouldn't causing this exact problem. Maybe worth just double checking the bulbs...there are other reasons it can happen, but bulbs is the easiest to check. Neil.

    Audi Coupe

Ive been thinking about one of these too...Got up to 2k max to spend but then for the money im looking at bmw 320/323/325 and 328 3 series! anything from a 92 up till a 97. Much more car for the money! Im going to see a 328i se,4 door,100k miles with full bmw history...and its a 97...and under my max budget! From what ive read, parts are roughly the same price as corrado apart from the odd thing, vanos for example. And it only gets expensive when you use the dealers for work. Independant/mates garages should be alright, and gsf for half the parts 8) One big! thing to look for though...The engine blocks (originaly nickasil coated bores) were prone to bore wear through using high? sulphur fuels...bmw replaced a lot of them,so you need to know if this has been done or not. They swapped most of them for alusil blocks that didn't suffer with the problem. But until they found the problem they replaced them with the same blocks, and these wore out too most of the time  Maybe sommet to consider?
  18. Cheers for the input guys... People have said they do look better in the flesh....and a m8 said they make the wheels look as though they are moving while sat still. It was the original idea to go with these...but polished up obviously.May get it done before it comes off the road. Possibly looking at a new everyday motor today,so the rado will go away until V-A-G 2008 :) Neil.
  19. No worries Tom. 8) As Dr_Mat says really...won't have helped with it being over charged,id probably see how it goes, worth just checking the levels as said above. Neil.
  20. Sounds that way Tom :( Have you checked that all the earths are good/clean? one behind the battery on the chassis that leads to gearbox etc etc? Im not entirely sure on this and could do with someone confirming... But i think if the supressor dies (little black thing on side/one wire) then the voltage may jump up? I don't know what makes me think that...but i do for some reason  Sorry...been on the budweiser
  21. Aye...best not to drive it Tom :( That new volt reg is on its way to ya first class recorded...Maybe when it turns up (hopefully quickly) throw it on with the small screw set fully anti-clockwise and have another quick look at the voltage at the battery. If its still the same/similar (over 15 volts) then its probably a short/something in the alternator thats gone. I may have an alternator kicking about somewhere... Neil.
  22. Sounds like its possibly over charging Tom? Id check the voltage at the battery with the car running, everything leccy turned off. Id also hold off on fitting that new voltage reg until you find the problem, but i suppose your old one may be causing the problem? Neil.
  23. couple of vids... Thought id try my spare center caps which i originally planned to polish...but i just painted the other set black at the time while i was painting the rims... Bit unsure about em with not being polished as yet...
