When on and off the throttle i have what i can only describe as a clatter, just one noise as though some slack is being taken up. Its also there if i change gear less than smoothly...So it does seem happen when i initiate drive into the drivetrain. What does anyone think? Diff? driveshaft flanges or sommet? And most importantly, how can i pinpoint the problem? Neil.

Just to add...I had a full magnex system on my mk1 16v,was the best system ive ever had in terms of quality and sound. In fact most thought it was too quiet! Still got it actually, been sat around for 4 years and still looks new! They can be a touch on the heavy side, but i suppose all stainless are anyway. Neil.

Thanks Tom :) Neil.

A good thick screwdriver just sat in the fan,it will bend as you crack the nut loose...But the fin can be bent back easy peasy :) Neil. -

Leverage is your friend 8) Spanner or bar over the ratchet handle should help a lot. As for holding the pully still...Use another ratchet or allen key in one of the other of the 3 bolts and wedge it up against something if you can (easier with engine in car actually) Neil. -
Sounds like they possibly damaged the wiring to the lambda probe? And what exactly did they spray into the intake? Anything with a hint of silicone will damage the lambda probe too. Neil.

Nice,Propper car. My mums just sold her 968 cabriolet...

Ive had one close encounter... A cop walking passed,he turned back round to ask me if the car was German...i said yeah. He then looked inside and said...left hand drive??? I said id converted it,and he walked off. Mine are on velcro, with the spare plates in the boot.

My mk1 16v on 45 webers...just before i tokk the engine out and stripped it to an absolute bare shell...Man i miss it, if i would have kept it,i would have never had the knightmare of owning a fecking corrado.

Yep,have checked time and time again m8 :( Thanks for checking m8...appreciate it. I did it with ecu plugged in,and im going to do it without pretty soon...hopefully i still have continuity in the loom,as that would mean there is a fault. I understand that, but i asked a simple question and just got asked about the switches again...Ive changed them about 6!!! times along with the throttle body. And checked them at the ecu countless times...as stated in the main thread. Believe me,i know what patience is after 2 years of this problem...and continuously being asked if ive tried this and that. I asked the same question on dubforce and got a reply about the purple signal wire for the lambda...I try to describe things as simply as possible and get silly answers some times... If someone else asks me if the ignition timing is correct again... :agrue: Same goes for asking if ive tried ecu/chip/coils/lambda's etc etc...
-
Could anyone please perform the above continuity test? Its only a quick and simple one...and could potentially put an end to a 2 year problem ive had with the car. Unplug lambda and throttle switch plug. And just test from>>> each of the 3 throttle switch pins to>>> each of the 2 lambda heater wires on lambda plug. Neil.

Yep,very common thing to deteriorate on the g60...and the scarey bit is that they can look fine on the outside, but be badly split on the inside. Ps:Anyone know under what conditions the fuel pump should run on? Neil.
-
Anyone? Its a pretty simple question/test...
-
Aye,nice big flat screw driver... Just watch for splitting/cracking the circular plastic cover when levering against dizzy body. Neil.
-
Yep...had many diffarent throttle body's/switches on there darren..Ive swapped them again tonight as ive fitted a standard throttle body. Any idea on the above? Sommet dosnt just seem right to me? :?
-
They are sometimes glued on believe it or not...You have to lever them off/break them to remove. Simply clean up any bits and push fit the new one (no glue) Edit:Watch yer eyes too. Neil. :)

Ok...i think i may have found a problem with my car...im just hoping to god someone can confirm that the below is wrong...and something isn't right. Ok...Car ignition off and everything as it should be except disconnected plugs. Lambda plug on left...Throttle switch plug on right. I have continuity from: 1 to A 1 to B 2 to A 2 to B 3 to A 3 to B If any g60 owners could please just pop off your lambda plug and throttle switch plug...then test for continuity from each pin on throttle switch plug to lambda. It would be cool...but hopefully someone can confirm the above isn't right. Please god tell me ive found my problem? :D

Im literally all out of cash guys :( The last few tweaks ive done styling wise have been done while also spending on trying to fix the problem, just tokeep me interested in it if anything...And the servicing has been done religiously! Plenty sets of plugs/filters/oil changes etc etc and ive only had it 2 years   And in those 2 years ive only covered 15k miles  I hear what you are saying, dont get me wrong...but,i literally don't have any cash left to spend on it,and its off the road at the end of the month. :( What you think about the spares i listed? Not think they are a good thing to gowith the car? especially the nitrous/cossie intercooler etc?

Check this out... Ari Vatanen, full knacker at 25 seconds in...and he clips a wall just before a gate/cattle grid. 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9S77jIj-tc A Manta 400 replica is the only car im gonna replace the corrado with...its just finding one. Best looking car ever built in my eyes. -
Definately not overlooked on mine  I have literally replaced every switch/item you can think of bar the odd few...would be easier to list what i havent changed!

Thanks for the informative input guys...its appreciated. :) Not sure i agree about the respray bit though...i hate having paint work done...and glady ive never had any. The paintwork is honestly as good as it looks in the pics...And its not just like this on the big easy bits, all the wheel arches/door shuts etc etc are the same...excuse my m8 taking the pics  The proposed possible value is a little dissapointing admittedly... :( but i do understand that the ongoing problem may put people off,but then again...It really is THE only problem with the car, everything works as it should...sunroof,spoiler (after removing uprated headlight loom :? ) everything works perectly. As for spec list, this is what ive thrown together...I think with all the pics i post  people may tend to forget about the history iof the car,and as leon says...remember the history of me posting about the problem. :( ps:The car will have a potential 275+ brake horse...see below. Its not the fuel pump. Going to put an advert together for the car. Any idea on value from looking at my members motors thread? (with the design 90's,not the borbets) Please don't say dont sell etc...Its time for someone else to take it on,and i cant afford to insure it anyway.
