Damn :( Whats the next plan of attack ya reckon then guys? Do the test again and pop the lead out of the stereo and go from there? Checked my amp earlier tonight too just to make sure it wasnt permanently live and it checked out ok. Neil.

Sorry Andi, should have said...The clicking was coming from behind the drivers side rear 1/4 card where the leccy window relay bits are... Weird eh? :? Steve, cheers m8...Radio? :? mmmm, hope £300 quids worth of head unit aint died... :( cant be the stereo surely? or i hope not! Why you think the leccy window ecu was clicking? Cant understand it. Cheers guys,Neil.

Ahhh bugger :( Only thing i can suggest is to use a 12v tester, the ones that have a pin on the end to poke at the wires...maybe test for 12v further up the loom near the bulk head? Not sure sorry m8. Neil. :(

Running them all round (t1-r) in 195/45/16 on 8x16's... I dont rate em in the wet so much tbh,not bad like but my old dunlop sp sport 2000 and 9000's felt more sure in the wet. Pretty good in the dry :) Neil.

Is it running an uprated loom that you dont know about m8? Normally knocking around the battery somewhere...a relay with a fuse near by :) Neil.
-
Getting somewhere Disconnected earth lead from battery... Stuck a 21w indicater bulb inline...and! it lit up brighter than the feckin headlights! Pulled the fuses one by one...nothing until the last one on the right of the fuse box. When i pulled it,the light went out,and there was a 'click' in the rear of the car...sounds like the leccy window relay i thought? When i stuck the fuse in/out it was clicking as i did it... But once i reconnected the battery, tried the windows without the fuse and they still go up/down :? So..... What runs off the end fuse on the right guys? Its pulling a hell of a lot of sparky sparky  Lit the whole town up! Cheers,Neil.

Like it :D my kind of test! Cheers m8,will give it a shot. Neil.
-
Hope so! gonna be filling up soon so ill give it a good run (its a nice drive to get the optimax round ere) and see how it goes. Cheers,Neil.

Carry a petrol cannister in the boot 8) although some people dont like to do it... Id advise changing the fuel filter for good measure if you do actually run out though! Neil.
-
Noticed the G60 is pinking pretty badly. I use good petrol, and the ignition timing is spot on :? Any tests i can do with the knock sensor, which looks mint by the way...or any suggestions? One problem after another honestly! Neil.

You ideally want a good wax on em :) If you have some carnauba paste that you use for the paint, pop some on the rims and it will look after them/stop crap sticking to them/stop water marks from washing. Autosol is 'ok' for alloy that isn't mirror polished, but it can be a little too abrasive otherwise... Neil. Edit:oh,and the hot rims from meguiars is superb for keeping on top washing wise...safe for use on all wheel finishes and gives fantastic results. 8)

Aye,its the gsf voltage regulaters that cause it,everyone i know who has one also has to blip the throttle... :( With my mates alternater though (vw regulater 14 volt) you dont have to,but the problem is still there... Was wondering about any relays that may be dodgy? whats this x relief jobby? And out of the suggestions you guys have made, what do you think i should check next? Cheers,Neil. :)

Ahh well...should have known...it is a corrado after all... Havent driven the car at all yesterday, needed to go out,go into the garage and the immobiliser light isnt lit up and neither is the dash...totally feckin dead again.
-
 Lets see em play god stop the rain
-
Corrado's just seem to love the leccy stuff eh :? Im gonna bet on the volt regs not being much more expensive from vw...although i wonder if they can still get the original 14volt ones? Neil.
-
Aye 8) Always hose the car down from top to bottom first too,and treat your wheels first with your choice of cleaner, rinse them off and then...wash the car. Neil.
-
Its new rims are on the way! :D I feel sorry for it,having a late present :( And it will have some new pipework in the new year... Neil.
-
I saw that but just assumed it was a weird reflection going on or sommet? Any bubbles might smooth out,or a pin prick would sort em anyway 8)
-
Are you speaking of the 3rd spare wire? (assuming you have the 2 oil pressure ones attatched?) If so,i think its for an auxillary oil pressure gauge inside the car,in the center console...dont quote me on that though. Neil.
-
Looks mean Rob,love it m8 8)

Weird :? My inpro's which i bought new needed no modification at all fitting wise :? And i just put spade terminals on the new bulb holders and fed them into the original plugs...Edit:as jez says! They did have the very slight issue of not sitting totally flush though. Neil.
-
Cheers guys, Thats what i cant understand...it was a new volt regulater not so long ago :? And yep, battery light working steveo. :) Wonder if its just the gsf regulater causing probs though,as they use a diffarent voltage to the genuine ones. They are rated at 14.5 volt instead of 14 volt which means you have to blip the throttle to put the battery light out. Not sure really...at the moment its starting, and my rear spoiler is working :? it used to jump up and down as though there wasn't enough power... Neil.
-
Sorry,im still learning  Neil.
-
Thanks for the input guys :) and yep,the battery was definately going flat...whenever i came to the car,the immobiliser light wasn't lit and neither was any of the dash... Yesterday i threw a mates alternater on for the crack (seeing as ive taken the head off his G  ) and this morning it started straight away...although a little un enthusiastic. So ill see how it goes...really didnt think it was the alt, but? If it dosn't sort it for a few days ill give some of the suggestions a go :D cheers. Ps:whats the best thing to do to sort a new alternater, new? refurbed? where from etc...very skint at the minute after buying new wheels but will have to sort it! Neil. :)
