  1. I bought a momo millenium a while ago now,had it in the sportline. Stuck it in the corrado when i took the sportline off the road, the center comes off to reveal a blank horn push. But i found a genuine momo/vw horn push :D And yep, this is the same car !
  2. Was a mk1 by the way 8)
  3. Mine ran perfectly for a few years :? Only time you will have trouble is if the carbs are worn/tired ie:worn spindles etc...They should not need constant setting up otherwise. Mine was set up once (and properly) and every single day it ticked over bang on 1k rpm,and it went...wish i had it back over the rado anyday tbh... :( Neil.
  4. Wicked new key rings in stock. http://www.volksdevil.com Neil.
  5. Mandatory viewing for you then is the German film "Manta, Manta", which was broadcast on a German satellite channel recently again. Excellent film taking the p*ss out of everything that a Manta (and similarly any serious cartuning freak) driver stands for  Tempest I have it on dvd!

    g60 non starter

Has the crank pulley moved on the crank? :( Commonish problem with the G60,Where the keyway wears and then allows the pulley to shear or damage the crank. Something to have a look at if you can. Neil.
  7. In fact im on the lookout for a 400 replica if anyone see's one anywhere, pretty damn rare :( Sick of this fwd sh|te!
  8. Opel manta gte coupe's...first car i ever drove at the age of 12 8) We have had loads in the family, and id kill people to own a 400. Best looking car ever built imo.rwd,280 brake horse, normally aspirated,on twin 50 webers what more could you want in a car that looks the absolute b0ll0cks. :!:
  9. No worries Tom,i cant wait to start scratch-x'ing  again! Gonna really concentrate on the bonnet/roof/door shuts for starters. :D Neil.
  10. Feckers  :( Can you manage pics m8? Its worth using dare i say 't-cut' along the scratch at an angle, and then going over it with meguiars scratch-x a couple of times. The reason being that t-cut is a solid abrasive,so it wont give a smooth finish,so using the scratch-x afterwards should bring it back and then give you a better finish to assess the damage. See what kind of scratch you are left with... Buy an original vw touch up pen,and fill in along the scratch. Leave it for 24hrs,and then go over with the t-cut/scratch-x a few times again (whole panel) dont apply any pressure, just let the products do the work. You could fill with the touch up pen,and wet sand...but this will give a super flat and smooth finish compared to anywhere you dont wet sand. All the above depends on how bad it is to start with really though :( Then there's the option of machine polishing, but the whole car would need doing ideally... Neil.
  11. Guys, dont think of it as so much a 'layer' of wax on there...its very miniscule but its the paint that is treated and fed too... You will be fine to just wash the car,and start your routine straight away, whether its starting with something like scratch-x,a paint cleaner,or a polish. Its always best to use the chosen product a good few times,it wont take much to remove most of the wax (one or two full good goings over) as these products are strong/mildly abrasive 'cleaners' and 'polishes' compared to wax. This dosn't mean that wax is crap though! as its not made to protect from some nutter enthusiast rubbing cleaners/polishes over it :D Neil. :)
  12. Ahh yeah, suppose pedal box could go with the engine/box,handy for someone for converting mk1/mk2 etc... Cheers,Neil. Bet this thread dies now...
  13. Sorry m8,not selling anything from it now,ill be keeping bits like that as spares for mine. Neil.
  14. Nope, but i dont want to die, just thought id see if there was any reason not to do it too.
  15. Aye,just there's no loom in the car and i have no 12v supplies at the unit... Suppose i could pop the battery off mine and run the pump off that though. Neil.
  16. Which bits would be worth keeping from a scrapper G60? The engine and running gear/brakes etc are for sale,so im thinking more along the lines of adjustable steering column? Any bits of wiring loom? Ive got door handles/switches/central locking pump and pipes/Toad alarm system, few other bits... Anything else you would keep for spares? Neil.
  17. Aye,tried ebay with various bits... :( I have kept the odd thing on one side, like the gear lever knob and boot...i dont know why  I just need rid tbh, dont have the time or the patience for car bits anymore. Theres even a 2.0 16v cable change box got thrown in there (slight crunch into 5th/low on oil?)...but nobody wanted it for £40 quid so its going
  18. Ill just go steady away with the battery drill, reckon im best drilling roughly around where the pick up is? ill remove it first anyway... Dave_p...nah  Its just a corrado i was breaking, but nobody wants the bits....so today ive filled it with whats left, full interior plastics/bonnet/doors/sunroof/v,v,v low shocks and springs...all sorts! a few hundred quids worth really. But i cant be ar$ed with it so its getting scrapped. Just want the optimax out of it
  19. ps:aren't all corrado fuel tanks plastic? :?
  20. A mate of mine has had his fuel nicked a few times! each time a hole has been drilled into the plastic tank. Partly the reason for asking though, not sure whats inside the tanks metal wise and where it is... edit:ahhh, may not have to be so careful then?
  21. Is there not a best place though? in fact around the pick up probably best? i want my moneys worth outta this pile a sh|t...
  22. Heard the same...can cause lean mixture/over boosting and wotnot iirc... Neil.
  23. Anyone know if there's a best place to drill a hole on the bottom to empty it fully? Dont think you can get a pipe in to syphon em can ya? Cheers,Neil. :)
