vr6_storm,Maybe...maybe not...i think maybe not though. :) Im currently reading a lancer forum,and i cant see any posts regarding issues/problems,on here though is another story... And if they are more reliable,then surely they are cheaper to run.I just need to work,and get the little girl about,reading the problems people have on here day in day out dosn't fill me with confidence. Reading the lancer forum makes me feel a lot more confident...even if when they do go wrong,parts may be a little more expensive. Neil.

Jim,its hardly nonsense when im going off corrado ownership experience. Didnt really want to compare the vr6 but it hardly makes decent power itself! and the rear brakes,exactly! the corrado is a mongrel :lol: As for the spoiler,i think you know how common a problem this is Jim,whether its dials or other leccy related. C'mon,build quality??? seriously can you tell me that the door handles/sunroofs/electrics/heater controls/heater motors/lighting/all !!!!!! the dash switches/gearing(g60)/brakes are all well designed? They are stupidly common and annoying problems that other marques dont have,obviously every make of car has its little problems,but nothing beats a corrado does it? tell me something that does? As for being spoilt with more modern v.a.g engines...thats what i mean,you only have to look at other forums (without v.a.g blinkers,not saying anyone in particular has btw :? ) (mitsubishi for example :oops: :lol: ) to see what a world apart they are in terms of reliability and build quality... Neil. ps:like i said earlier,im dissapointed that i feel this way...i want to love corrado's but i have to go upto the unit again :roll: shortly and replace the heater matrix...another crap design fault with corrado's.After the crap engine mount bracket snapped also.

Have been many other 'typical corrado' problems m8...like now its currently off the road again,just when i really need it for work. The badly designed front engine mount bracket has snapped,and guess what...after id wrestled with the bast/\rd of a job fitting a new bracket and a new mount...the heater matrix pipe snapped. :roll: Im just seeing the corrado without my v.a.g blinkers on...

Mines just been a knightmare from day one Leon :( I remember when i first came on here...after id just bought the rado,and i was gobsmacked at the amount of common problems that they have...remember it very well because ever since that day it has rung true :( I know they are old cars and can have typical problems as such,but my mk1 is 22 years old...and i never had one single issue with it,apart from when i blew the original engine up 8) and when i did,it was so easy and simple to throw the weber 45 breathing 16v lump in,and it ran perfect until i took it off the road. The corrado on the other hand...well for a start,a supercharged engine only producing 160 brake,its crap :? But what should we expect from a bloody 1920's??? design? The electrics are crap,the wipers are crap,the lights are crap,they have some seriously bad engineering designs,heaters are crap,heater cables are crap,all the dash switches are crap,door handles are crap,sunroofs/spoilers/dials/rear brakes are a crap design/ar$e holes to work on...i just cant believe how bad they are :lol: Seriously though im actually dissaointed that ive realised this... For the same money im going for a 95 car with 280 brake,4wd,air con,leather...and thats all standard and reliable.No lighting/leccy/problems or big list of common faults... Sorry guys,ive just seen the light... :(

Im a v.a.g enthusiast,love a nice golf/rocco/jetta/polo/lupo/audi of any kind etc etc...i just hate corrado's (g60's)...i think they are possibly the worst car that vw ever produced,and im going to replace it with something more reliable/more powerfull/better handling/more practical/and easier to work on/and with more for the money as a standard car... My old mk1 gti is my pride and joy and i cant wait to carry on with the project,still have the minty sportline in the family which i just sold,and the concours mk1 gti (50k miles from new) Neil.

Nice one 8) The mk2's are good solid cars...as for the corrado the only thing going for them is the looks imo,totally fallen out with em :(

Ive got a vdo leccy boost gauge...reads up to 1.25 bar. it has the usual vdo style 3 pins on the back,how the hell do i wire it up? Cheers,Neil. :)

Miner are tinted with film,and green bulbs didnt change a thing.The orange led bulbs worked perfectly. Although you may get fast flashing which you can sort either with another inline bulb :oops: or a resister...not sure on spec. Neil. :)
