Is your Corrado your "best" car, or your runabout?
Riley replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Daily drive. :) My real pride and joy is a feckin bare shell  and i dont know what the sportline is,its just hanging around like a bad smell  -
Nice one Rob 8) ! Oh and your sig? pmsl
-
Would anyone like me to enquire through Volksdevil car care? may be worth a go? ive never organised a group buy for something like this before though,so not sure what the best action is  Plus i am pretty strapped for time... Neil.
-
I reckon we need a group buy for those tail lights   Absolutely spot on  edit:i reckon they can probably be modded for twin fogs? if they only have one on the wrong side?
-
Look for the two pipes going through the bulk head, they have those arsy metal spring clips on em. You will be fine joining the two together, just need a bit of metal pipe. :) Neil.
-
Ahhh,i thought ya had to stick to et15 when running 9x16's? no catching anywhere on the inside Rob? Not sure on tyres, deffo dont like the look of thew 195/40's   Neil.
-
imo round headlights/angel eyes are just wrong on a corrado,i dont think they suit the shape/width/already mean stance of the front end at all :? Just my opinion though, and i think if you do fancy em,definately better in black :) Neil.
-
Easy, any spanner/grips will have em off :( shame as they are smart. For the best anti theft'ness? i think the latest richbrook ones are superb, new pin design,no spanner or little vice grips will ever have them off.And they look cool too, fancy some black/silver topped ones me self. 8) Top of page in above link. :) The flush fit are awesome like Bendy says, definately one to consider when you next have a change of tyres etc... Neil.
-
I deal with the richbrook antitheft valve caps. Some nice new designs in stock now. The bbs ones are sweet like. 8) 8) 8) Neil.
-
That sounds cool m8 8) mine hits 2000 on good days which is 14psi 8) Neil.
-
Would be a bloody miracle eh
-
oops...brain fart  cheers m8! Neil.
-
Ahhhh, yeah. :) Mine was stage 2 before, and it was a lot more noisy after the full blend...kinda wish the noise hung around for a bit longer like,it just faded away a bit. Still sounds pretty droney similar to the vids like. Neil.
-
Not sure m8,it was quite soon after a full blend rebuild at pitstop,it did loose the whine after a bit of mileage... Neil. :)
-
Do you have the snorkel in the airbox m8? makes a massive difference to the sound :) Neil.
-
Thanks m8 :D how did you come across the rado page out of interest? Ill be honest m8,the car used to be quicker (as vid) than it is now and i dont really know why :( haven't had time to think about it or look into it though, maybe a boost leak... Neil.
-
Thanks Rob. I dont really know  nah...ive always been a wide deep dish guy,but just tried the 90's for a change, ill keep em on one side though. Would love a set of Kerscher carmona's... Neil.
-
Looks superb Rob :D im very very! proud of the microfibres and wotnot, seeing the results and hearing the comments is brilliant :-P Glad you are happy with them! :D love the rims too, hankering for some 9x16's me self... Neil.
-
Video's with the snorkel removed from the airbox, sounded crazy at first and gave me headache too jim  Got used to it now though...it is a real droney kinda noise. Neil.

Sorry m8,i posted the above 'technical/scientific diagrams' before i saw your reply  I do know a little bit...i was valeting professionally at 16/17...and im now a young? :( but experienced  27. Everybody has there own idea's/techniques though...would be a boring world otherwise. Neil. :D
-
Edit:ahhh,im too slow today  Pen pusher? only joking! Why attempt to clean rough paint >>>> ¬_¬_¬_¬_¬ only to go over it with a diminishing abrasive afterwards? slightly embarrasing diagram   start: ¬_¬_¬_¬_¬ scratch-x'd: __¬___¬__ And then a cleaner to remove contaminants and prep for polish. Think of it like wet sanding...You wouldn't use metal polish on a rough surface, you would use finer and finer paper before cleaning/polishing. :) Neil.
-
Aye,way more clay than needed there m8. :) Should only need to do the whole car a maximum 2 times if its in need of it. The routine above is fine apart from that and that you should just concentrate on polishing/waxing over a small period. But with the weather how it is now,its a good idea to have a break from it and get a good wax on there. And then continue the routine when the weather comes good. :) They are wrong m8 :) Scratch-x is a diminishing abrasive...so there is no point in using a paint cleaner first. The scratch-x will remove light scratches/light contaminants. A paint cleaner will work best on a smooth/prepped surface that has been scratch-x'd... If you use the paint cleaner first,it will just make the scratch-x hard to remove...and then you would be using a polish straight after the scratch-x which is wrong. The paint cleaner preps for polish. :)
-
Just swap the scratch-x/paint cleaner round m8 :D Neil.
