  1. Tooooooo much info Furkz
  2. Thanks man :D Well...ive spent 4 weeks using megs scratch-x with careful washing inbetween...but with the weather turning to shit ive thrown just the one application of carnauba wax paste over it. Ill carry on with the routine once the weather comes back  Only wish i could have moved onto paint cleaners/polishes before using the carnauba but its still doing its job...just not as well as it could potentially do. And then i had to shoot upto my unit, parked on dusty concrete  so had to wash it soon after applying the wax! :!:
  3. Since 8.00am this morning ive been trying to sort a customers cars page with a submit form...nearly had it sorted when i had a feckin power cut   Got it working i think though... http://www.volksdevil.com Neil. :) :(
  4. I had some daft cow  run down my wing with some red lipstick a few months back while driving through traffic in town one night, seriously! At the time i was having a bad run and with the sun/lack of time and wotnot it dried on really hard...megs paint cleaner (good lump of it just sat on there) brought it off after a couple of times. 8) Edit:dont be tempted to rub at it with anything if you can help it...until it starts softening up. Neil.
  5. Aye,thats the best bet for the moment m8,just protect/prevent as much as you can for the minute. :) As for the cow saliva! if you popped a big lump of megs paint cleaner on there and let it soften it,it should come away. Neil.
  6. Hi m8 :) With living where you live and the weather being like it is at the moment...protection and prevention will be a good routine for you i think for the time being. You need to start by having a good washing routine and using good quality implements,no sponges and no wash leathers...A woolen wash mitt is a good start. Always hose the car down from top to bottom first, and Always clean the wheels first before the main body. If you use the tfr you are fine to apply this and then hose the car down. You could ideally start by using the scratch-x to bring the paint up,by starting from this point will mean that when you eventually come to using cleaners/polishes/wax then it will all work and protect to its full potential. However...i myself have been using only the scratch x over a few weeks now with careful washing inbetween...but ive just recently thrown some wax over it to get through the winter. Basically id advise you to get a good washing routine going, and use a good carnauba paste wax for now...id stay away from synthetic waxes with where you live and the fact that you cant get much time. Id do this with a view to bringing the paint up once the weather comes back...scratch x,good implements,a paint cleaner,polish...and the carnauba paste wax. Hope that helps a bit m8. Neil. :)
  7. Ahhh, sounds worse than it looks in the pics then :(
  8. Aye but no need to go mad unless its seriously faded...and seeing previous pics it dosn't look overly bad... Ideally you would need more products if using something more harsh from the start. It may be worse than it looks in the pics so does possibly need more abrasive stuff. :) Neil. :)
  9. 1/Meguiars speed glaze. 2/A polish of your choice, autoglym super resin/autoglym ultra deep shine/mer/megs etc...use one of them for a good few times before applying a wax. 3/a carnauba paste wax. 8) Best off using the paint cleaner after the scratch-x m8 :) With the scratch-x being 'sticky' the paint cleaner is good to remove any slight residue in prep for polish. 8) Neil.
  10. Back online after being off intermittently with having the electricians in  Autoglym products are slowly coming in too... Neil. :)
  11. Sounds like a parking light problem...possibly worth whipping the steering wheel off and using some contact cleaner on the indicater stalk? Neil. :)
  12. can you manage a close up picture around the fuel cap m8? Neil. :)
  13. Havn't done anything to it as such but... I had it confirmed by an mot station that my yellow headlights are legal :D :D :D after a w/\nker (sorry...copper) pulled me,gave me a vehicle defect note and was adament that they were not legal. The worst thing was that he put his hands on my fucking paint  Neil.
  14. Can only think that you had them the wrong way m8 if the soldering was done well enough... They can be fiddly feckers! i just used some red acetone stuff in the headlight switch(cant remember what the led/bulb looked like now?) Neil.
