  1. 125mm But you can't buy replacement pads from Halfords bizarrely - However Machine Mart do sell them!
  2. I bought a fantatic Random Orbital Sander/Polisher from Halfords for £29.99IIRC came with one foam pad and a terry towel pad. Velcro on!
  3. I think you'll struggle actually fella!!! Lets face it they are quick and unless road conditions are very good then from a standing start they will be away fast!
  4. That is also true but only for those that have had a full remap like mike_g60 and myself - Mine also now revs to 7000K if I wanted it to - but for the sake of the charger I try to avoid it - Thats self detination rev speed for the charger!! Also I have the final drive of a VR6 in mine along with the 1st and 2nd. But I've yet to take it to that sort of speed. Maybe if I go to Nurburg next year and had a jaunt down the Autobahn but still not sure if I would feel comfortable attempting 140+ mph in such an old car with so little safety features!!! Dead Man Speeds in a modern car never mind one that is 15 years old!!
  5. An increase in power wouldn't allow the extra speed as it is not limited by power but purely by the ratios in the gearbox that will only let it spin so fast! I may be wrong about the 140mph top end but I'm pretty sure its right! It's one of the reasons I am after a custom Quaiffe box at some point!!! UPDATED: Even the tech specs of the G60 in the knowledge base quote top speed of 137mph!!!
  6. Think your speedo is out fella - unless you've done serious work to the Gearbox as the ratios won't let it do more than 140mph IIRC!
  7. I am Mr Paranoid with all the goings on I've had of mine!!!
  8. I used Meguiers paint cleaner then Scratch X, then mcgiuers polish, then liquid gold wax on mine and now looks stunning!!
  9. They are very individual cars and I love my G60 and thats pushed to the figures you see in my Sig. But as Walesy said you need to drive both and make your mind up as to which you prefer as they are a world apart to drive.
  10. Use the Search - And look in the knowledge base!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Contact ardandy on here I believe he's in Keighley which is pretty close by!
  12. Sorry to hear about it - If I was in your position I would readvertise them and get them sold. You've been more than patient. If this had happened in a shop or anywhere else they would only be kept for a short time then sold and deposit would be lost as non-refundable. So I would do exactly that!!!!
  13. Can't see why anyone would want a big bunch of keys full of key rings etc etc I have just my keys on it - thats it!
  14. I just wondered about the colour!! Didnt realise that they lost brightness - was only thinking of the next one up from the 6000 to be honest. I have In-Pros so no issues with a HID kit there. But why would putting on HIDs ruin the work of the uprated loom?? But I would definatly still need the uprated loom then if I looked at this kit for instance??? clicky
  15. Does it matter what temperature you get??? ie could I go for the higher temps with no issues if I wanted to get a little more blue in there - getting closer to the 10,000K? Also does this mean I can take out my uprated headlight wiring loom? IIRC i need H4 bulbs as well??
  16. Well in that case I will be looking to fit HID's to mine at some point in the future - but I can't afford it just yet unfortuantly!
  17. Looks good!¬!! Cheap as well!!! They are supposed to have auto leveling in order to be legal!!! Dunno how strict that is when it gets to MOT time though!!!

    Rear Arch Work

I rolled mine myself, having never done it before and it worked a treat with no headaches and no need to respray!
  19. Perhaps when I get my car finished?????????????????????? Which I think will possibly be never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Well I've finished another weekend of hard graft on the car. Got the intercooler install all finished!!!! Removed all the old pipework, fitted the Rallye U-Bend, connected it all up using a 90deg bend I already had and bought a Ali 90deg bend also!! So I have now lost 4ft of pipework so hopefully see a slight boost in performance from an extra feew psi not lost in the pipe system. Also bought new fittings and pipework for the oil cooler so I could move it to the other side of the car behind the grill. The 2 pipes (only 50cm each) including the fittings came to £70  However they are proper swaged on hydraulic fittings and pipes so no worries on whether they are up to the job!!! So now thats all done I gave the engine a bit of a wipe down to take some pics as I know a few of you were after seeing pics! Just got to get a new mandrel bent Ali pipe to go from the intercooler to the throttle body - hopefully get that done next week when I am back from London!40
  21. WOW  Can't believe it survuved that amount of time without popping!! I'd buy a lottery ticket if I was you - your a lucky man!
  22. There was a RUF 911 in Chipwizards when I was having my car mapped! Stunning car!
  23. And then use the bolt in the picture to secure to the Inlet Manifold to act as a support bracket
