  1. Well I had the inlet cut off the intercooler and then a new inlet fabricated by them. I must say the quality of the work is fantastic and they weren't too badly priced either. They have said that if anyone else needs absolutley anything fabricated they will give a good price if I passed the word around!! So now that is fabricated the work installing it can begin!!! As you can see I have mounted it, all I need to do nwo is get some new oil pipes made by Pirtek in the morning then I can move them out of the way of the Rallye U-Bend, connect it up and reposition the oil cooler over the nearside of the car!!! Then hey presto - Lost about 5ft of pipework, which can only lead to greater boost!!!!!!! :cheers:

  3. I would imagine from the last time I rebuilt a CV joint that it would be almost impossible upside down under the car. Can you remove it to rebuild it or would that be even more of a mission!
  4. no just the RSR ali pipe. No reducer I'm afraid - but you can pick them up easily
  5. They didnt repair my wheel in the Van, he took it away and did it, but was still done next day!!!

  8. Well the Alternator has just been rebuilt using all new parts, the only thing not replaced was the casing!!! Doubt the belt is slipping as it's toothed!!! Would it have to be at alternator or could it be the battery not up to it? I always used to have an Optima Red Top but since that went pop I put an normal style battery on it. Albeit a 65Ah one where the Red Top was a 50, but I appreciate the Red Top is afar better battery! Also I have found a slight voltage drop in the system - that seems to be caused by the battery to body earth strap!
  9. Wierd one and don't know if it is a serious issue or not???? The battery light flickers on when I get into the higher rev range sort of 4000 and above. Don't have a clue what could be causing it. If the revs drop then the light goes out!!!! Any ideas?????
  10. Well I've just been out and removed my Intercooler. I've finally found a fabricators that I feel I can trust to remove the Inlet header and refabricate me a new one with the inlet in a different position (ie. pointing upwards!!!) This will basically allow me to lose 5ft of boost pipework before it reaches the intercooler. This should inturn INCREASE the boost getting into the car which can ultimately only lead to one thing............................................... MORE POWER!!!! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: They have also said that they can turn it around same day for me so I can drop it off tomorrow and I can have it back same day!!

  13. The ear arches are where you will probably have the most in the way of clearance issues and the rear arches on a G60 and VR6 are the same. Its only the front arches that are wider on a VR6 IIRC
  14. You can have a pipe easily made as I did and am about to have a new one made to fit exactly as you want it. Then just order a BBM CO Pot housing in Ali or steel (Which ever you had the pipe made out of!!) from Darren @ g-werks and have it welded in!!!!
  15. Actually are they 16"??? I have 8X17's ET42 on mine using 25mm spacers however.... I had clearance issues on the rear quite substantially cutting into the tyre so I immediately rolled them as my tyres would be gone within a few days!!!!! So I would say if you don't want clearance issues either use 15-20mm to be on the safe side or roll your arches!!! unless others with 16's can tell you otherwise
  16. I say follow what you really want to do. If that means leaving Samsung tehn so be it. It's not nice for them but it is life!!
  17. Around 15-20mm 20mm you'll probably need to roll the rear arches - will cost about £60-£70 to have it done.
