I think you would struggle as I think the shaft and spline size would be quite a bit different

Recommend 17cm components for my new Audioscape Pods
Blue_Joe replied to Andy Brookes's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I've got Focals in mine and definatly better. Used to have MB Quart but these are better for the money -
Well I've had enough of lies and lack of work being done. I put my car into Pro-Tune in Stafford over 7 weeks ago for a FMIC conversion, oil cooler and custom enlarged throttle body. I that time the sum totla of work done includes - Ordered an Intercooler from Forge Motorsport Ordered an Oil Cooler Romoved Headlights and Front Bumper etc Fitted Sandwich Plate for Oil Cooler Started to cut the Front cross member to fit the Intercooler Took 3 weeks to find a G60 radiator (Took me 15mins!!!!) Ordered Blue silicone hoses after 7 weeks (I specifically requested Red Hoses to match the coolant hoses from Samco that are RED!) as SFS said it was a 4 week wait for Red Hoses THATS IT!!!!!!! The whole time they have had the car they've basically done nothing except give me excuses that are in the same league that I used to use when I was 8 and hadn't done my school homework! Ooo Forgot they then proceeded to call me a Wan**r when they thought that they had put the phone down (Next time wait for the click!!!) this was after I rang them back to say that Blue Silicone hoses were not to go on my car and that I had rang SFS Hoses and Highbury Hoses and both had told me 4 days. I know that I can be an awkward customer (g-man and beavis I'm sure will agree here  ) But the car is my pride and joy and I jsut want everything done right!!! Well either later today or tomorrow I am going up with a friend with a transporter to remove the car from the premises. Should be FUN!!!! :2gunfire: :agrue: After speaking to MOTEC in Birmingham (more Local, Well Respected Japanese Tuning Shop) said that if I get the car to them they will measure up themselves order the silicone hoses and once they have arrived 3-4 days to complete the job. I'll keep you all updated to how I get on with them!

I do quite like the S2000, as honda's go it's a nice looking motor. Also very tunable. '99 - '00 With the 111s would that give you the new shape or is that still in the old shape. I very nearly bought a new shape Lotus Elise and if those years or your budget puts you in the new whape then get the Lotus. I personally think the new Elise is a stunning car and not one you'd ever get tired of! Around london, it's a smaller car so got to be a bit easier and definatly more of a head turner! However if it's the old shape, it's DEFINATLY a Girls car. The front is not aggressive enough for me for a Lotus!

Noooooo Not another off the road!! Sorry Fella - it's never nice!

Supersprint manifold vs Milltek Hi Flo downpipe and porting
Blue_Joe replied to _leon_'s topic in Engine Bay
Actually there is no more vibration when fitting a solid front engine mount. The front engine mount bolts to the cross member that is in turn attached to the subframe using rubber mounts. As long tas they are in good condition there is no extra vibrations. I have a solid front engine mount fitted and is such an improvement!!! -
My display is on permanantly!

Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay

G60 Larger Throttle Body and or inlet manifold???
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
Henny - TSR do an engine bore out and rebuild to 1984 or thereabouts apparently. If not I'll be looking at a 1940cc lump like yourself! -
How difficult are they to do yourself???? Ive never done one before but would be interested in having a go. I like the extreme that you've managed to get yours to Riley!!! Fancy doing one for me???
-
Leave it with me I'll put them up tonight!

The thread would make no difference as it needs to match your hubs. You would need to consider whether the head of the bolt is tapered or rounded. But also the diameter of the hole size would be a major conderation I believe. But most importantly the stud pattern, does the clio have the same stud pattern as a corrado?????? 4x100 or 5x100 depending on your motor??
-
Although it doesn't seem to be engine degreaser/cleaner resistant as I noticed when I used Gunk cleaner in my engine bay after an oil leak!

Henny - How much did jmr charge for the 1940cc conversion????

Woody Are you looking to buy a set of front door cards as I have a set recently retrimmed in black leather for sale! Sam

G60 Larger Throttle Body and or inlet manifold???
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
The Large bore head as I said is going to be done in next few months, along with the engine bore and rebuild. The only other option for exhaust manifold is a 4 branch but had various reports that they crack after a bit!!! -
G60 Larger Throttle Body and or inlet manifold???
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
The exhaust side is all under control. Will be getting ported exhaust manifold and larger bore front pipe from JMR. Also looking at a large bore head and engine rebuild with 1984cc Bore out! -
G60 Larger Throttle Body and or inlet manifold???
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
Thats what I thought. Just wondered if it is worth and possible to change the throttle body or entire inlet manifold if there are any compatibles? I'm sure I saw a modified inlet maniold off another car to fit the G60 (Might have been a 16VG60) on here a little while back! -
Speak to Campaign - As the name suggestes he owns a lovely example of a Corrado Campaign!
-
Has anyone been able to increase the size of the butterfly valves on the inlet manifold - or increased the size of the inlet manifold itself. Is this possible to therefore increase the airflow into the engine increaseig the power in the car Or is the only option to port out the existing throttle body???

It'll take longer to heat it up with a hair dryer but if it's a decent one then should be alright. Heat gun would be better!
