I've got a little Seat Ibiza 1.4, so the corrado stays in its newly acquired garage 8) on bad days.. The VR feels so nice after pooling around in the Ibiza for a week or so :lol:

If you've a few stone chips up front also... may be a good time to get the whole front end done whilst your at it!

Just looking in the manual and it says "push the locking rod in direction of arrow slightly downwards" Theres no arrow on the picture :? How do I do it ?

I'm sure i've read somewhere how to get it open when it fails but I can't find it! Can someone help me please ? i've found the small white solenoid and pulled around on the metal wire that goes towards the fuel flap.. but I just can't seem to get it open!! Just thought i'd post on here before I end up breaking it :lol:

Same here, it looks perfect as it is! Just buy a nice single exit Milltek\Magnex and save your money :) It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things though.

What price did they offer you ? I think if its as good as you say you should stick to your asking price! There's a lot of abused and neglected examples around!

I remember seeing a Mk2 Golf at york dragstip with a new TDI lump. It was very quick indeed, the quarter mile times were just silly! I think this one was massively tuned though.

Sorry, yes its been 12 months since it was last serviced... car has only really done 7k miles since. Why should I supply the Oil ?? I use Quantum silver from VW usually, won't they use the same ?

All sounds like good advice that! I'll prolly just book it in for an oil change then to get the all important stamp!

I need to get my car serviced at the end of the month... It currently has FVWSH, Is it worth keeping it with VW stamps ?? If so, how much can I expect to pay for a 55k service at VW ?

Blimey, very lucky excape there! I did a similar thing with a MK2 GTI - Got it home to find the chasis number had been ground off :shock: Very stupid mistake really! Took it straight back and the guy said he'd knock £500 off ( errm I don't think so) anyway he eventually gave me a full refund. Always try and take someone with you when you go to look at cars, but like you say you just dont expect these sort of problems from a dealer! Good luck finding another one, how much money have you got to spend ??
