Good stuff! Awesome that's what I was hoping to hear, air fed is alot of expense for only a few uses- will look into the ones you used then :) Did you find much rust on the sills or anything?

I'm not gonna say that twin filter masks don't work but they don't protect your eyes and 2k in the eyes is as bad as in your lungs plus once out of the packet the life of a mask is limited where as air fed will last years. Plus remember for the money to protect yourself from the arsnic based paint it has got to be worth the money. You can't buy new lungs or eyes on ebay.

To repair my seats I bought 2 front seats in the same material I was going to use the passenger lower bolster to replace the worn out drivers side then take the material from the backs to re cover.

The AP coilovers arrived yesterday after what seemed like forever. So fitted over course of yesterday and today. Shame I can't take it for a test drive as still no mot.

Seems most people who sell their rados come back so they will have got more but have to spend more to buy a new one. I have no intention in selling mine so makes no odds to me. Don't like the idea of more expensive parts though.

Too be fair though I think many of the parts people seem to buy are not because they need them but want them.... For example my only ones so far are upgrading brakes and upgrading suspension. My previous ones all worked fine.... Lol

I have decided to replace with AP coilovers as have heard good things said about them so will have to get ebaying. Today I decided to remove front suspension on passengers side ready for new ones to turn up. Thought it would be rude not to give the arches a quick clean while the opportunity was there.

Picked up the leather interior a couple of weeks ago. Cheers joe3954 nice to meet you I enjoyed comparing rados. On the journey noticed a knocking noise coming from passenger side rear suspension. Realising the mot was overdue from first of the month (good job I don't driver her that often so been in garage since then) so Yesterday set about looking into it hoping for a worn top mount but what I found was this.

I think I said oh sugar or similar when I saw it.

If it had of been at least it would save having to tell people it's a corrado not a scirocco lol.

If there is ever any doubt walk away. I have learnt this the hard way.

All you can do is test drive as many as possible so you have something to compare it too.

Sounds like it could be gunk in the fuel system which is getting shock up when moving but sits on the bottom when stationary so will idle ok. I would check fuel filter first to see what condition it is in.

i had a ding in my rear quater in almost exactly the same place and was a right bitch to get right as most arches are so feel your pain. Sorry if this has been asked before but what the hell does thumbsleft/right and bump mean? is it a sign I am getting old and not up to date with the youth?

Well the only mods on mine are the brakes and will be fitting B8s and Eibach springs in next couple of weeks - hopefully that's standard enough as these IMO are improvements which don't detract but add to the car

bolt on mods shouldn't make to much difference as they can be easily changed back esp if you keep the originals but body mods and major engine mods could de value a car as people are never sure wether the work has been done correctly.
