I got a set of these combination spanners last time. Unbeatable value. On sale next Monday. http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/home.nsf/pages ... _18_Pieces

Its worth paying that because: 1 - Waxoyl is effective - it has stood the test of time 2 - It is realy messy doing it yourself under the car - gravity likes to try and get as much of the stuff onto you rather than the car.

Corrado spotting! Was it you - [October 2005]

Last night, parked near Star & Garter, Linlithgow - K reg red 16v. -
crdo 16v said Nope - wrong on both counts, man. Mirror unit is same as original which was broken off by some low life this week after nearly 15 years on car. Price is correct - see website.

Got replacement manually adjustable replacement mirror for Pug 205 - the full works - from my local Eurocarparts, for £16.45 including VAT. Amazing! It looks and weighs like it could cost £75 or more. Pleasant surprise after Corrado bits prices.

kevhaywire said Yep I had one on this week (last of solitudes being refurbed) and forgot all about the 50mph max - I was overtaking two trucks at 85 when I remembered! Didnt feel any odd behaviour from it any way, but drove the rest of a longish trip, including several miles nose-to-tail in traffic jam at below 60 and got 33mpg overall.

bluevr6rado said Too right! I'm only being provocative and dont like to see hard-earned money wasted. It's a generation thang!

Blimey! Fashion has nothing to do with being practical and functional after all. What's wrong with the original look anyway? (Craigowl - born 19Oatcake.)

If that's Goodridge, I had wrong set sent for VR6. Not impressed with resultant saga and response from makers either, though it worked out OK in the end.

Fuel hit over a £1 per litre somewhere in the Western Isles a few months ago.

A worthy, interesting purchase. Look forward to hearing that the high mileage has been no problem. Nice minimalist alloys! -
Well done, getting that car, lukeage. :D You sprang into action real quick, and rightly so IMO. 40K and well cared for - you've really hit the jackpot.

reallywantavr6 said Sorry, man. It's only right, though, that our visitor gets a fair price if it happens to be a fine example. -

Im sure I speak for many on here when I say top colour, too, Mike. Make sure you get max price! -
Passed Diana Dors in street in Windsor about 40 years ago. She lived there - I lived in next town. Saw Spike Milligan in his jeep in London a long time ago, too.

I sprayed plenty of WD40 behind the mirror glass and my reluctant driver's side one started working again. I intend to lubricate it properly soon, though.

kevhaywire said How much Slick 50 did you add kev?

so whats so bad about Nugget yellow?
craigowl replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in General Car Chat
Must be relatively rare? I have never seen one on the road, that I can recall. Its not as if you wouldnt notice one. -
I have been using touch up paint on cars for 36 years and have always hated doing it and was never satisfied with the results. Dont know what the answer is unless you are rich.

from "cold" front 36psi rear 32 (half laden car) space saver wheel 60 from label on my car (1995 VR6). I have always been fussy about things like that but age has told me it duznt seem to matter that much. Was driving with 16psi in one front wheel and barely noticed difference.

supercharged said Ive got thingmyseal [pinky American goo - about £50 for 4 C wheels) already in. Clearly, I am not going to recommend it to anyone now, though, the blurb convinced me it was a good buy.

dr_mat said To all pedants, yes, absolutely!

vr6storm said Silly me. Well spotted! Old age, you know. kev - Clearly one has to expect the added extra with the Storm - leaky Solitudes, as opposed to the inferior non-leaky Speedlines!

dr_mat said What size are your buckets ffs?! Didnt mention bucket. I should not have to be telling a qualified doctor to reread the post carefully.
