  1. What the funk were they doing getting out??? D1cks.
  2. Just in case you aren't sure there is a British Standard for making tea.... BS6008:1980 £32 purchase price!!
  3. I too have considered winter tyres over the last few weeks. Thought that they might be a waste of money....but after watching that video, I'm convinced :salute:
  4. Head off, pistons out, fit new rings, all back together = lots at a garage and I mean lots; I suspect well over £1000, and that is if the cylinders aren't scored and don't need a re-hone. If they do, then it's an engine out job really. :(
  5. Aye, must be piston ring wear. Is it a daily? Are you any good with spanners?
  6. Schitt dude, I completely missed the splitting up with your girlfriend bit :( Sorry to hear that, that's more poop than the Corrado problems. Get it moved and leave it for a month, as James suggests, that will help you, I think.
  7. I hope it hasn't cuffed the cog on the end of the intermediate shaft, dude :confused4: :brickwall:
  8. Had the same problem with our Golf VR. Turned out to be HT leads being poop. As Tom says, could be the Coilpack as well. Go out no, open the bonnet, start the engine, and give it a bit of a rev up and if the coilpack is indeed arcing, you will see it, as it's dark :)
  9. Looks well fella, loving the red recaros and the OZ wheels really suit it. Good work that man :afro:
  10. Oil coated spark plugs means you've got oil leaking into the combustion chamber, which IIRC could come from worn valve guides or even knackered oil seal ring on the piston
  11. Pah, I laugh at your '3 months' and raise you 2 years!
  12. It's a three person joke.... Good ol Eddie![/quote:3hp4nk5y] Make that 4 ;)

    VAG.COM Lead

Not had to do that myself, the USB type works fine.Though it will only work in COM port 3 none of the other 3. When I was running it with Windows 2000, it worked like that, I upgraded to XP, and could only get it working like that. Weird. Ho hum, works ok anyway.

    VAG.COM Lead

I also bought a £15 jobbie. USB type, but have to run it with a virtual serial port driver through the USB and the 409b (IIRC) version of VAG-Com, which is downloadable from Ross-tech website.
  15. I think you need a bigger driveway/garage
  16. I might see if I can pop over at some point next weekend, if you are about? Tom will be around too!
  17. Well, that looks a bazillion times better! Nothing like a before and after pic to get you motivated :)
  18. I dare not ask but where was your wife? Outside the toilet block.......she doesn't need to know.....
  19. I was chasing Ben around this morning with my penis out. I guess that could put a lot of people off. Nah! Didn't put me off, when he did it to me! And that was the day after I got married!!!

  21. Yeah 700 euros is A LOT! Glad to see you've got some motivation/time again. Been looking forward to seeing this running, as you say it's been a while. So without trawling back through your thread, are you running standard Digifant management? Do you have the means to map it yourself?
